City Muse Country Muse: Joining Jeanne
http://citymusecountrymuse2012.blogspot.com/2014/09/joining-jeanne.html
Tuesday, September 16, 2014. Ten years ago, my life fell apart. My dad had two heart attacks, my husband had an affair and one of my best friend's brain literally exploded. My dad recovered. My marriage healed. But Jeanne's brain could not withstand the resulting trauma of a ruptured brain aneurysm. Since then, there have been countless moments where I ached to pick up the phone and to hear her stilted, low laugh. But none of those moments compare in magnitude to now. I didn't have a good feeling about i...

City Muse Country Muse: Book Reviews
http://citymusecountrymuse2012.blogspot.com/p/book-reviews.html
I think that the past two, have been better reading months. I am excited about a few of the books and even the backstories of the books I read. This is so important to me in writing because the good ones inform my own attempts. One of them even makes my five star list on Goodreads! Most recently, I read the Divergent. Was great. I ate it up. The second book felt like an action movie - all car chases but not much substance, and the last book? Never took itself seriously, which was good because the whole p...

City Muse Country Muse: Thursday Post
http://citymusecountrymuse2012.blogspot.com/2013/07/thursday-post.html
Thursday, July 25, 2013. An update of sorts. In loving, we give pieces of ourselves away that can never be recovered, plucked and held out in hesitant offerings. Hobble ourselves in some human effort to wade through little natures. Maybe now, I should learn to pray. July 25, 2013 at 9:11 AM. This is touching. No matter what we give away we must ensure its worth losing and be ready to gain from the loss. July 25, 2013 at 10:24 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Be FABULOUS. Follow us! I haven't even had my coffee yet. Welcome to our new writing blog! We hope you will join us on this new venture, that you will share laughs, triumphs and rejection letters.
