July 29, 2015. Who doesn’t love a pretty bag to store notions and other crafty essentials. Bonus if it’s got a zipper and a pocket to store treats! The Goody Goody Binding Kit. Definitely checks all those boxes. Vanessa Goertzen of Lella Boutique. Designed this bag and she has a free tutorial. For it on her blog. For zipper installation worked like a charm. Who knew that good old Elmer’s school glue would make installing the zipper such a breeze! Linking up with WIP Wednesday. And Let’s Bee Social. This ...

February 5, 2016. Actually typing up a blog post as opposed to formulating a post in my head is always a good thing! And, there’s no time like the present to hit publish, right? I’ve got a few small finishes that I haven’t yet shared on the blog so here’s my #LaterPost about these. Two of these FOs were made as Christmas presents so they have long since been gifted to the recipients and were received with delight! First up is this table runner made using mini squares… Read more ». This post has 9 comments.

He’s in India actually for a family wedding and as you may have heard, Indian weddings are one long, loud, crazy, colorful party. It’s very true! This post has 4 comments. February 9, 2015. This post has 5 comments. November 17, 2014. There have been many goings on in our little corner and this blog has become so very neglected. Today is Monday : the perfect day to get back on track! Put A Pin In It. July 31, 2015. Put A Pin In It. I was looking for dinner inspiration on the interwebs the other day and you know how AdSense. Shows you pictures on the sidebar of things that you may be interested in. They have to rework their algorithm because I get a lot of promotions for power tools! I don’t think I’ve ever actively “googled” power tools for this to happen, but nonetheless. This time however, there was this cool looking project tutorial by Jenny Doan of Missouri Star Quilt Co. New Pattern: Punto Shawl | affiknity
https://affiknity.com/2014/05/07/new-pattern-punto-shawl
New Pattern: Punto Shawl. Punto Shawl is an asymmetric, crescent shaped which is easy to drape and interesting to knit. The shawl features plain garter rows interspersed with colorwork wedges with pointy edges half the way and curved edges on the other half. The shawl is worked sideways with wedges and the crescent shape achieved using short rows. Punto Shawl makes a great set with Punto Cowl. You can buy the shawl pattern alone or grab all the three patterns in one ebook. Punto Shawl by Anjali M. Notify...

Pieces of Contentment: Deliberations
http://piecesofcontentment.blogspot.com/2015/07/deliberations.html
Why Use Organic Cotton/Fabric/Thread? Thursday, July 9, 2015. After much deliberation and opinion seeking, I've decided to go with all of these flowers. We were considering pulling out the brighter/deeper ones to give a more serene effect, but after already having removed all those with touches of navy last year,. I was beginning to think I may never end up with a finish. I really do like the brighter pieces as they add more 'bounce' to this Fresh Fields quilt. What do you think? Sharing at WIP Wednesday.
Simply Pieced: The Gift of a Quilt
http://simplypieced.blogspot.com/2015/03/the-gift-of-quilt.html
Monday, March 23, 2015. The Gift of a Quilt. I truly love how all these fabrics came together. I couldn't have asked for a better result considering I didn't have a plan when I initially started piecing. Everything together back in November. It's so bright and cheerful. It's also a simple flying geese pattern that gives off the impression of complexity with the use of all those scraps. And Jenny, two fellow members of the Memphis Area MQG. There are two options for giving. Click this button:. What a beau...

Went to the Creativ Fest on Friday after work. Loved seeing all of the amazing samples and swatches. And also, so lovely to meet new friends. Holy mose, these potholders. Obsessed with this fabric. Have a good week friends! Posted by ms.tee.kay. Monday, October 21, 2013. I knew you would :). Yarn - Socks that Rock Silkie. I have a couple...

Sunday, September 7, 2014. This one for my pal C, who celebrated a special birthday recently. Full credit to my other pal Johanna, for being my life coach on this one when I got impatient in the lace repeats. (I hope you all have a Johanna in your life telling you it will be worth it in the end). And I also hope you have a friend like Miss C, worth knitting an Ishbel for. The yarn: Madelinetosh prairie in Tart. Needle: 3.75 mm. Posted by ms.tee.kay. September 8, 2014 at 9:45 AM. 2012 by ms.tee.kay.

Macaron Quilts: March 2015

Fabric Selection Made Simple Series. Monday, March 30, 2015. My first quilt rejection. I got some bad news the other day. Disappointing is a more accurate adjective, actually. I submitted my first quilt to an art competition. And it was rejected during the first round of jurying. Truthfully, I've been trying to brace myself, because I didn't really expect it to be accepted. But, I'm still disappointed, and I've still definitely shed some tears. I asked my friend Cynthia. Friday, March 27, 2015. This week...

Pieces of Contentment: Bitter Sweet
http://piecesofcontentment.blogspot.com/2015/07/bitter-sweet.html
Why Use Organic Cotton/Fabric/Thread? Friday, July 17, 2015. Lemon meringue pie, made by our elder Miss E with our homegrown lemons - bitter sweet at its best! It was wonderful having Miss E home from college/uni on winter break. There was the usual flurry of catching up with friends, watching movies at home with younger siblings, sorting books and cooking delicious treats and meals for the family. All squashed into less than two weeks! Meanwhile Master J is enjoying last night's snowfall up on the table...

And random other ramblings. Saturday, June 27, 2015. It has been a good week for crafting and I've really enjoyed the project that I've been working on. Step one was making the cross stitch gnome. This little guy is part of a pattern that comes from a Frosted Pumpkin sampler. The recipient loves gnomes, and I knew she was going to adore this! Why Use Organic Cotton/Fabric/Thread? Sunday, August 2, 2015. Am I the only one who finds a brisk walk good to help thoughts sift and settle? Thinking fabric and quilt ideas while enjoying tonight's sunset views and cool breezes. Today felt like Spring, with a gloriously sunny 27C/80F. Winter's not over yet but we are enjoying a warm few days. Another week, more adventures ahead. :). Sharing at SkyWatch Friday. Posted by Karen @ Pieces of Contentment. August 2, 2015 at 9:50 PM. Musing of a mostly sane, perfectly saved and entirely flawed bible believing woman and biblical counselor. There are a lot of things I am trying to work out. Writing is my therapy. Grab a cup of coffee and sit in on my therapy session if you'd like. Or don't. Either is OK by me. Lots of horrible stuff about Planned Parenthood happening in the news. Another issue in the news that's giving me trouble is the officer in Kentucky that put handcuffs on children with "special needs.". Links to this post. I digr...

Saturday, October 23, 2010. I just figured out how to do this on my phone! It's a long process just to get to this spot though. Cuz Nuz Ruth's Ramblings. Tuesday, February 05, 2008. What A End to the Week! Houdini's Gone. but he didn't escape! Friday was a really nice day and since I spent much of my morning at work outside that was nice! Two of the puppies came right to us. in fact they tried to climb us, and they'd catch at our coats with their teeth and tug.
