Sunday, October 26, 2008. This precious baby boy is the newest member of the Jensen clan. He arrived at about midnight October 18th to excited and anxious parents Eric and Erka. Congratulations to you all! I was lucky enough to get to spend the whole day with him on Saturday. We snuggled so that the nurses wouldn't take him away. He slept, and his Mom slept. It was one of the most rewarding and thoroughly enjoyable days in recent memory! Monday, October 13, 2008. It's a terrible, terrible situation!

Sunday, July 5, 2009. The boy wants to go to the beach - so, we go to the beach! The beach is at Broughty Ferry, a part of Dundee on the north shore of the firth of Tay. Wikipedia says it better and knows more about it than I. Http:/ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broughty Ferry. Then once he's wet with salt water and caked in sand, we go over to the playground nearby. Monday, September 29, 2008. Did that car just spontaneously combust? So, as it turns out sleeping on the balcony really can be quite the adventure! We got ourselves all tucked in and snuggled, and the boy fell asleep. All of a sudden I heard two small explosions. Were they fireworks, or Gunshots? Should I call the police? Then I heard somebody hollering, and then two more small explosions. Then I heard the sirens. I quickly pulled Tony's camp mattress inside, with him on it! Friday, September 26, 2008.

Monday, December 22, 2008. I feel like I just got shot in the head! So this story is a little old - but better late than never! My friends Janae and Melissa asked me if I would like to join them for a gun safety class as part of getting my Concealed Weapons Permit. I decided that since I own a gun, it was probably a good idea to get a permit to carry it. But, that's not really what I came here to share today. It was what happened after the class that's blog worthy! He said would you like to try this?

She is 3 years old. She really shouldn't be 'started' until she's 5 or 6. Started = Start training. Mules live anywhere from 10 to 20 years longer that horses, so they mature later. Saturday, August 7, 2010. My daughter turned 16 this week. She didn't want a big fancy party (she's kinda like her Mom), just a few friends. But I asked her what she wanted for her cake. I made her the hippo cake last year (seen here in my New Year's. Post) and she loved it. I ended up going with a topsy-turvy style, 2 tiered cake. She requested her favorite colors for the frosting and I made up marshmallow fondant for the decorations. Birthday that I still need to sign up for! Friday, July 30, 2010.

Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Yellowknife was really nice. I enjoyed my time there. It was a neat experience and lots to see. If it hadn't been for the bugs it would have next to perfect. It took some serious work to get my car to a semblance of clean. Put almost 4000K on my car. That was a lot of driving. After coming back from Yellowknife on Thursday and then Grande Pairie and Back with very little down time I was ready to get home and relax. Started work as soon as I was home. Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Excited for a new month. When I started the meal planning I was afraid it was going to be this huge, daunting thing. I was pleasantly surprised! It was a good month to start because we are leaving for Florida Friday so I had 1 less week that we needed to cook for. If I can do it for 3 weeks, why can't I do it for 4!
