Wednesday, 11 March 2009. Thinking of my Mum. I think it gave my Mum a lot of pleasure to buy things for us and take us to places we couldn't have afford. now I am in the position where I can do the same for my girls and I know just how my Mum must have felt when she did so! Today I have to get some Euros, the exchange rate is terrible but we need to top up what we have left from last September, I also have to go to the bank, the post office and get another few bits and pieces that we'll be taking with us.

Friday, 31 October 2008. Well, after having to change my password, (why I don't know, as I tried to use the one I always do) I've managed to get back to my blog. It's been a strange few weeks for me. Just two weeks after our little trip to France, we went off to stay with friends in Devon, then two weeks after that I went into hospital for my hysterectomy. I was actually really pleased with the way these came out, because I have never used royal icing on biscuits/cookies before - I have always chickened out and used rolled fondant instead. But, this wasn't as scary as I'd thought, and the results were rather good. I'll be doing it again - when I have more time to play. I am sure that she is either colour blind or eccentric!
