Does it have oceans?: August 2010
http://cyberkim.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Does it have oceans? Welcome to my less than perfect world. Sunday, 15 August 2010. A killer in the bushes. You see this pretty yellow flower? It's a plant that grows all year round, but it looks at its best around now when the flowers are fully in bloom. At this time of year you sometimes see quite large clumps of it in fields or decorating the roadside verges. And it's very bad news indeed. This image is from the World Horse Welfare website. Does it have oceans?: June 2011
http://cyberkim.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Does it have oceans? Welcome to my less than perfect world. Tuesday, 21 June 2011. Hi there. plumbing fans! Boy do I have a treat for you. A couple of pictures of some lovely, lovely pipework. Plumbing, unless you do it regularly, is always a bit of a scary proposition. The potential for catastrophe is quite high, so whenever I set about any project involving a lot of copper tubing and soldering, I get pretty nervous. So, just for a couple of days, I'm changing my name to Mr Smug. Wednesday, 15 June 2011.

Does it have oceans?: You find out who your friends are when you've got no toilet
http://cyberkim.blogspot.com/2011/05/you-find-out-who-your-friends-are-when.html
Does it have oceans? Welcome to my less than perfect world. Sunday, 29 May 2011. You find out who your friends are when you've got no toilet. There aren't many scarier DIY jobs than removing a lavatory, especially if it's the only one in the house. Luckily for us, our neighbours were kind enough to offer us "unrestricted access to their facilities". This was a considerable refief, so that's a big "Thank you" to them. It could have been so much worse. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cheers, "Cyber" Kim.

Does it have oceans?: December 2010
http://cyberkim.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Does it have oceans? Welcome to my less than perfect world. Sunday, 26 December 2010. So how was your Christmas? Oh good. How lovely. My Christmas has been pretty good too, as it happens. On Christmas Eve, while Blight-of-my-life was out making sure that the horses weren't getting too excitable in the snow, I (finally) put up the Christmas cards. And then sent another one that also arrived before all the other cards. Later that evening, my band played at a local pub. Even though Blight had to see to the ...

Does it have oceans?: January 2011
http://cyberkim.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Does it have oceans? Welcome to my less than perfect world. Monday, 24 January 2011. The last time I mentioned my model railway on this blog,. It was a tale of woe. About hamfisted drilling and the sudden and unwelcome mutilation of some of the track. Now, I don't do New Year Resolutions and I'm particularly wary about trying to stick to any hard and fast regime or daily activity. Anybody that follows this blog will already know how erratic and fickle my level of commitment can be, so I have amazed m...

Does it have oceans?: Inception
http://cyberkim.blogspot.com/2011/06/inception.html
Does it have oceans? Welcome to my less than perfect world. Monday, 6 June 2011. It's taken me a while to catch up with the film "Inception", but it was certainly worth waiting for. I'm not going to say anything about the plot, story or characters, because I wouldn't want to spoil what, for me, was one of the most exciting and engrossing 148 minutes I've enjoyed for some time. If you want to see what it's about, by all means take a look at the entry for "Inception" on IMDB. 7 June 2011 at 11:54. It's bee...

Does it have oceans?: The spirit of "Spinal Tap" is alive and... well
http://cyberkim.blogspot.com/2011/05/spirit-of-spinal-tap-is-alive-and-well.html
Does it have oceans? Welcome to my less than perfect world. Friday, 6 May 2011. The spirit of "Spinal Tap" is alive and. well. My band, "Nightflight" had a gig last Saturday at one of our more regular haunts, "The Old Ship" in Macclesfield. This is a great little boozer. We generally have a good time when we play there, so we're always happy to accept a booking. The fan club was lapping it up, everybody was up and dancing and "Hero" was going down a storm. For the big finish guitar solo, Dennis, taking a...

Does it have oceans?: Plumb Crazy
http://cyberkim.blogspot.com/2011/05/plumb-crazy.html
Does it have oceans? Welcome to my less than perfect world. Friday, 27 May 2011. This is just a quick update for those of you faithful followers who may have thought that I'd moved to Alpha Centauri. Alongside all the normal excuses for not posting; work, gigs, rehearsals and chronic laziness, I've been doing a bit of DIY. Here's how it looked before we started. Does it have oceans?: October 2010
http://cyberkim.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Does it have oceans? Welcome to my less than perfect world. Sunday, 31 October 2010. What time is it? I'd like to make an appeal to all of you lucky folk who have been wallowing in the luxury of an extra hour in bed, this morning. Spare a thought for shift workers. Yes, it's that time of year again, when we "put the clocks back" by an hour, taking us from the balmy days of British Summer Time to the dismal gloom of Greenwich Mean Time. Why am I asking you to consider those of us that do shift work? All I...

Does it have oceans?: Slow progress, but progress nonetheless
http://cyberkim.blogspot.com/2011/06/slow-progress-but-progress-nonetheless.html
Does it have oceans? Welcome to my less than perfect world. Wednesday, 15 June 2011. Slow progress, but progress nonetheless. A couple of posts ago, I mentioned the bathroom reconstruction project, so I thought I'd let you know how it's going. In short, it's going slowly. We started taking it to pieces on 30th April and by the time the plasterers arrived on 10th May, everything that was removable had gone; bath, wash-basin, toilet, airing cupboard, tiles, plaster, floor covering, lighting, the lot. It wa...
