Soren Talks: Photos of My Toes
http://sorentalks.blogspot.com/2011/04/photos-of-my-toes.html
My footprint on the world. Saturday, April 2, 2011. Photos of My Toes. But Mom never let me HOLD her camera, which has always looked like the fun part. To be behind the lens, I mean - framing the shot, deciding when to press the shutter button, freezing a snapshot in time. Then came a visit from Auntie Nora, and she said "no problem, Soren, I'll show you how to use MY camera." And she did! Aren't aunties the best? Mom was on a walk, and when she came back, I took her picture and GUESS WHAT? And here's a ...

Soren Talks: June 2010
http://sorentalks.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
My footprint on the world. Sunday, June 20, 2010. Two Trains in One Weekend And a Car! We leave Portland tomorrow, but already it's been quite a weekend. I got to ride trains two days in a row! OK, today's choo-choo was quite a bit tamer - and smaller - than yesterday's (see last post), but it was still cool. See me and Dad in the second seat back? Have been watching Daddy act like a little kid in his first go at Bumper Cars. Twice was enough. I was happy then to go watch Jill flip upside down on the...

Soren Talks: April 2012
http://sorentalks.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
My footprint on the world. Monday, April 30, 2012. Have Training Wheels, Will Pedal. I've graduated from two wheels to four. Yep, my Strider balance bike. Has been upgraded to a REAL, two-wheeled bicycle- with training wheels. 2 2 = 4, right? This pedaling thing is tricky, and I find I have to concentrate on moving my feet. When I look down too much, Dad calls out to look where I am going. I've only fallen once- luckily I was wearing jeans, so I didn't skin my knee too badly. Monday, April 2, 2012. I sti...

Soren Talks: Finally -- the Snow I've Been Waiting For!
http://sorentalks.blogspot.com/2012/01/finally-snow-ive-been-waiting-for.html
My footprint on the world. Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Finally - the Snow I've Been Waiting For! This is how I feel about the snow that finally. Fell in Port Townsend yesterday: HAPPY! It's the first snowfall of the New Year, and only the second snow I've seen this winter. The last was back in November and there was so little, it melted before I got outside to go sledding. I was right out there throwing snowballs at my parents. Watch out, you guys! I surprised Dad with this one! Snow is made of wool.

Soren Talks: November 2010
http://sorentalks.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
My footprint on the world. Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Fluffy White Cold Stuff. Yesterday it rained. At least, that's what I assumed it was until Mommy pointed out that it was frozen. Rain - more specifically, "snow." That word is more fun to say than "rain" anyway. She bundled me up in last year's coat (which apparently fits me everywhere except in the sleeves, which are too short, so my mittens let in snow at the wrists and - brrrr! And out we went to explore. We walked to Aldrich's Grocery for a hot c...

http://testermantravels.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 30, 2010. It's still hot here with record breaking temperatures- 108 degrees! Just before we reached Wickenburg, Arizona today at noon, Ann is enjoying a little shade we found along the way and trying to hydrate herself, We have learned to drink often as we bike in this heat trying to avoid getting into the difficult situation we found ourselves when we first started. We have found the best biking for us is to start about 6 am when it is just geting. Bill and Ann Testerman. We have ad...

Soren Talks: My Nannie's Biking Cross-Country
http://sorentalks.blogspot.com/2010/10/my-nannies-biking-cross-country.html
My footprint on the world. Thursday, October 14, 2010. My Nannie's Biking Cross-Country. But not on this wheeled vehicle, don't worry. She and Papaw are riding real bicycles, and they are almost halfway from California to Florida. They send me postcards and Mom and I pin them up on a big map of the U.S. I do miss them, and when Mom first explained where Nannie and Papaw were, I thought they had moved. Check it out here:. Grandpa Jim and Grandma Glory got me a balance bike! Bike, maybe Nannie and Papaw wi...

Soren Talks: I'm All Boy and I Can Drive a Tractor, Too
http://sorentalks.blogspot.com/2012/04/im-all-boy-and-i-can-drive-tractor-too.html
My footprint on the world. Monday, April 2, 2012. I'm All Boy and I Can Drive a Tractor, Too. I still have many years to go until I can get my driver's license, but until then, I can practice on my grandparents' tractor. This John Deere lawnmower is so old, my Papaw says he can't buy parts for it anymore. But it has a trailer and a water bottle holder and three speeds and reverse. It's cool! And they have a BIG yard. I don't know how they keep it all mowed without my help. Looks like fun too. Have Traini...
