Alles spricht seit dem 7.7.2003, der Eröffnung des Thüringer Wald-Abschnittes der A71, vom Rennsteigtunnel. Das ist der längste Autotunnel Deutschlands. 100 000 Besucher waren am 5.7.2003 bei den Volksfesten zur Eröffnung dabei. Aber wussten Sie, dass der Berg, durch den sein "kleiner Bruder", der 874 m lange Tunnel Alteburg führt, eine sehr interessante Geschichte aufweisen kann. Auf diesem Berg befand sich das "Raubschloss", dessen Mauerreste noch besichtigt werden können.
