The adventures of a SAHM in the sticks. Saturday, December 1, 2012. There are lots of reasons to end this blog and one of them is that no one at my house takes a nap anymore! This blog is now CLOSED. I plan on publishing a hard copy of all posts for my personal use and then maybe I will start back with a new blog. This most likely will take several months. It has been a good run, but it is definitely time. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Pressure cooker - chickpeas. 100 Days of Real Food. Musings of a Baby.

The Naptime Blog: Unbeatable! James's 6th birthday party!
http://thenaptimeblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/unbeatable-jamess-6th-birthday-party.html
The adventures of a SAHM in the sticks. Wednesday, September 19, 2012. James's 6th birthday party! Love that rocket launcher. Where can I get another one? And the big bubbles. I also had pokemon coloring pages:. This party was from 4-6, which is an awkward time, so about 4:30 I fed the kids hot dogs, watermelon, and chips:. The kids could have probably played with the rocket launcher all day, but I did have some organized activities. First was pin the tail on pikachu. It went ok. Then end was the cake!

The adventures of a SAHM in the sticks. Friday, April 27, 2012. Soccer: Spring 2012 - Andy. Dare I even bother? Of course, I was wrong. So, here is a normal day. Andy and I get to soccer pretty early. On this particular day I was surprised when Andy voluntarily started dribbling. That was unsual. Sitting in a chair eating a snack, that was more his speed:. Again, dribbling. Who is this kid? Oh, picking grass. Now, that is Andy:. Eventually the other kids showed up, and the game got start. As an aside, th...

The adventures of a SAHM in the sticks. Thursday, October 18, 2012. Also did not make the blog. I know everyone likes videos, but I don't. I don't watch videos of your kids, why would you watch videos of mine? Saturday, October 13, 2012. What didn't make the blog. This is a picture heavy post, so consider yourself warned! I am going to start out two years ago with James's 4th bday party. Why didn't I do a post about his bday party? Since James liked to dress up, I got masks and caps for the kids. I'm sur...

The adventures of a SAHM in the sticks. Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Stuck in the Clock. James and Andy's school had a field trip, basically walking across the street to Tillman Hall. I was in charge of Andy and June. We walked hand in hand all the way there. The original plan was just the older classes would go to the top to see the carillon bells. When we got there, our guide apparently wasn't aware of this arrangement, and we all went up. So cool. James's group went up first:. Turns out one of them i...

The adventures of a SAHM in the sticks. Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Andy turned 4 this past weekend. He still lets me sing lullabies to him, but more often then not he wants to do the singing. In one way he is not a baby is that he likes the show Ninjago. Don't get me wrong, James likes it more, but Andy seemed to like it enough that when I asked him if he wanted a Ninjago Party, he said YES! The kids practiced throwing at a target. And some kids made and decorated their own. Just wanted to point out in the ...

The adventures of a SAHM in the sticks. Saturday, November 17, 2012. To be honest, when the kids were really little, Gilbert did not enjoy the same life he did before. At the end of the day, I was so overstimulated with kids wanting to talk to me or touch me, I didn't even want Gilbert to sit on my lap. That started to change when Andy was 3, and now the 5 of us live together pretty well. Just as an aside, I was looking for one more flea dose before the weather got cold and they were OUT of frontline....
