We are now in Samfya and have gotten to grips of where stores are, like the bakery, Mr. Cabeke’s store, Samfya basic School, (that’s where we get internet) and stuff like that. Wednesday, September 8, 2010. Last Days in Samfya. Me with my EMI friends Rachel and Melissa. The EMI team is here so they are developing the master plan sooooooooooooo they are surveying, testing the water, drawing sketches and checking the electrical it is all very interesting cool. I have been able to watch them. We are leaving Samfya on Saturday morning and then we go to the Protea Hotel Safari Lodge so that Mum and I can see an African lion in Africa! Thursday, July 29, 2010. Congo Weekend and then off to Lusaka and Livingstone. Well the next day we went to a village and the kids just stared and got a bit overbearing at times. I even tried to hide in the truck but the kids just followed me and looked through the window! Oh and did I mention that there was a well at the mission! I loved working that well. Saturday, March 22, 2014. Uganda Show Mercy Trip. Cute kids in the nearby village - a good way to start any blog post. PART IV of VI. The chunk of concrete that fell off the roof. The dining hall - the concrete chunk fell from the peak of this. Roof and then slid down the back side to the ground. The chunk landed on this patio - fortunately no one was injured. Monday, April 20, 2015. Nicaragua - post III of III. A 'fun day' is a usual part of the end of EMI trips - this time,. We went zip lining over the canopy of a Nicaraguan forest. Today can be summed up in one word: AutoCAD (which is a computer-aided drafting program). I started just after breakfast around 7:30am, and quit at just after 11pm with just a few breaks for meals. For Alisha and I as a family, we think about what we're doing and where we're at (given our recent history of moving around, yes, we have to stop and think about 'where' exactly we are sometimes!
