The Oaks - School Uniform Drive. Help serve the children in our local community by providing needed school uniforms to Cameron Elementary school. This local school is in need of uniforms for families who cannot afford them. Help our community by providing white shirts, collared shirts, and sweatshirts, and navy blue pants. The Oaks - Health/Medical Fair with Casa Central. Serve the Humboldt Park Community by supporting CasaCentral as they host their free back to school fair. Casa Central is offering free physicals, dental exams, immunizations, hearing and vision screenings and asthma and lead screenings. We are looking to support them by providing 3 volunteers. Worship - Communion set-up. Each month Liz sets up our communion table. Join her for a one time (or ongoing montly) commitment and help her set-up. Move tables, set table cloths, and light candles. Then at the end of the service, help clean up. You can offer artistic feedback as well in how the table is set. Liz will walk you through all the steps. On-going, 1st Sunday of the month. The Oaks - Reach (volunteer at local schools). Extending our reach into community schools so that teachers can better reach their students so that their students may reach their fullest potential.
