My Son has Asperger's Syndrome. And he is AMAZING. March 28, 2011. RCF has been receiving challenge work at school as part of his IEP. Keep in mind that he was able to add/subtract up to about 50 when he was starting kindergarten. By the time he moved on to 1st grade he had taught himself multiplication and division. My Son has Asperger's Syndrome. And he is AMAZING. My son, RCF, turned 7 on March 12th, 2011. He was diagnosed at 5 with a form of high functioning autism called Asperger’s Syndrome. He struggles almost on a daily basis with what is considered “expected” behavior, but his ability and capacity to absorb knowledge never ceases to blow my mind. RCF is currently in the first grade. I read this great article yesterday about a 12 year old boy who is attending Purdue University studying astrophysics. He’s so advanced in mathematics that he not only tutors his fellow classmates in calculus, he’s also trying to expand on the Theory of Relativity.
