21st Century Learning: February 2011

http://chlittech.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Inquiry via the Web. Last semester I was introduced to, and spent time navigating, WebQuests- so I decided to explore the world of ThinkQuests. Also, after watching the Dr. Donald Leu's informative videos I was left slightly confused regarding the difference between a WebQuest and ThinkQuest. And furthermore, why a teacher would choose to use one technology over the other. Using the ThinkQuest website. I choose to further investigate a ThinkQuest called " Forget Me Not.

21st Century Learning: For Free!

http://chlittech.blogspot.com/2011/03/for-free.html

Tuesday, March 22, 2011. The readings this week also discussed the potential to link resources for students and parents on websites. This is a link that allows you to search for thousands of public domain books. I think this would be an excellent incentive for student literature-based experiences (Baker 2007). This might even come in handy when searching for supplementary literature during units, an online literature experience. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). All About the Visuals.

21st Century Learning: Final final thought!

http://chlittech.blogspot.com/2011/04/final-final-thought.html

Wednesday, April 27, 2011. During the online presentation four people visited our typewith.me space. I visited two classmates pages. I felt a little overwhelmed- trying to chat with the authors and maintain our page. But, I thoroughly enjoyed scanning through my peers' pages. Even though it seemed overwhelming- I definitely participated in some valuable conversations. I think it could have gone just as well if we meet in class. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thursday, May 1, 2014. Friendly Letter to the President. It is every teachers dream to see her students take a concept that they have taught them and then use it on a personal level. I had this experience today when Robert asked to write a letter to President Obama. He used the Letter Generator software available on the ReadWriteThink. Website to type his letter. Below are a few pictures. All About Mrs. Barton. Labels: friendly letter writing;. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). All About Mrs. Barton.

Read. Write. Think. Grow.

Read Write. Think. Grow. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Breathe - 31/31 SOLSC. I arrived home from my week at the TESOL conference and traveling to and from just in time to jump into spring term the morning after and Holy Week. The Easter's in a week note was on my calendar. I blocked out days when I will be out of town, more this term then in typical terms. But, when there's busy weeks like these, it gets even more challenging. I am focusing on carving out breathing room, carving out space to be productiv...
