Tuesday, 3 April 2012. We had a great time yesterday at Briercliffe making Easter spicy biscuits, bean burgers and chocolate nests. The next chance to cook with us is on Friday 13th April from 1 to 3pm when the children who attended yesterday have decided they would like to make pizza, macaroni cheese and something sweet, so that is what we will do. Saturday, 23 April 2011. We had a great time during the cookery activities making chocolate cookies, so here is the recipe so you can make them again and again. Chocolate and oat cookies, makes 20. 125g soft margarine or butter. 125g self raising flour. 1 tblsp cocoa powder. Pre heat the oven to 180c or Gas 4. Cover a baking sheet with baking parchment. I am running a series of 4 sessions for parents looking at providing healthy meals for your family on a budget for the local Children's Centre in Norton, Malton. We will look at how to shop wisely and the types of food to purchase to get the best results. There will be an opportunity to share the food we cook with your child at the end of the session. Thursday, 12 July 2012. Summer holiday cookery activities. Well the long summer break is coming up and I have now confirmed the dates for cookery activities during the break. We are going to make food suitable for barbeques and picnics, with a sporty theme, just in case the rain ever stops. Children will need to bring 2 plastic containers to bring their food home. Monday, 15 August 2011. Orange and apple rockies recipe. We've had great fun this morning at Filey School making Cowboy Chicken and Coleslaw and one of my favourites - Rock Cakes - takes me back to making them with my Grandma. Orange and apple rockies - makes 24. 225g self raising flour. 100g mixed dried fruit including apricots and nuts if liked.
