The life and times of Wendy's Chooks. August 14, 2012. Below is two photos of my husband and Goldie. Goldie is acting as Neil’s nurse after his major hip operation. Looks like her therapy has worked as Neil is much better and is getting better day by day. He is walking now without any aides. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Invitation | Wendy's Chooks

The life and times of Wendy's Chooks. July 31, 2012. WowFour beautiful eggs today from four beautiful chooks. I have a slight problem with my chooks now as they want to come inside. We left the back door open the other day and Goldie thought she had been invited in. Now when I let them out of their pen after lunch, they run straight to the back door and peer inside through the glass, hoping for an invite. But I must admit it doesn’t take long for them to move onto something more interesting.

The life and times of Wendy's Chooks. A Wildlife Visitor →. July 26, 2012. Well, we were just sitting out the front of our house having our morning coffee and minding our own business, when along came this white fluffy ball. It turns out the white fluffy ball was a little dog called Billy who belonged to our neighbour about four doors up. I usually pick each chook up when I let them out but today they all crouched down and we had a group hug.very nice. In the beginning I mentioned Heritage Chooks where w...

Hay-Time | Wendy's Chooks
http://www.wendyschooks.com/2012/08/hay-time
The life and times of Wendy's Chooks. August 10, 2012. We decided to give the girls something to play with, so we bought a bale of lucerne hay for them to scratch and pick. We give them a biscuit of hay (about 100ml) every other day. They love it, they scratch and pick for ages. This keeps them busy for the morning, (between laying eggs) until I let them out after lunch. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. You may use these. The life and times of Wendy's Chooks. July 29, 2012. While they were scratching they had a visitor who just sat on the log and ignored them completely while he was sunning himself and they didn’t worry about him either. I raced inside to get the camera and this is what I came up with. It is so good to see that the animals all get along fine. (except for the foxes). Yesterday egg count was only two, so I have showed the chooks the Axe.So I think that has given them so more incentive to lay extra today.
