Pavonine Studios: August 2011
http://pavoninestudios.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 29, 2011. Here's what I did this afternoon/tonight:. First I felt like just a wee bit of blue was needed (it's really sort of a bluish green). Then I put on some iron paint to rust:. The patina solution is on there but the rust hasn't developed yet.hopefully in the am it will have developed. Tomorrow am depending on how the rust looks, I will either add more iron or I will begin to knock back the rust a bit with some white/off white. We shall see. G'night all! Sunday, August 28, 2011.

I have painted the edges, sprayed on its final protective finish.so yeah, finished! As this is just for fun, and something I would take more care with next time, in that all the shots are different angles and such.but for this time around it will have to do. RECENT PAINTINGS and NEWS. JAN YATES, SCA. JUST A REMINDER THAT I NO LONGER POST ON THIS BLOG. Saturday, September 18, 2010. Personally I find my work is in continuous cycle—cycle of growth, harvest, then dormancy. September for me is bittersweet—a month visually stunning but symbolic of what is looming. Depicted below is a turbulent work—artistically faulted in the traditional sense —but no apologies—it is what it is, felt good to get it out. September 21, 2010 at 3:37 AM. RECENT PAINTINGS and NEWS. JAN YATES, SCA. JUST A REMINDER THAT I NO LONGER POST ON THIS BLOG. Monday, October 4, 2010. I know the year is dying, Soon the summer will be dead. I can trace it in the flying, Of the black crows overhead;. I can hear it in the rustle Of the dead leaves as I pass,. And the south wind's plaintive sighing Through the dry and withered grass. Ah, 'tis then I love to wander, Wander idly and alone,. Listening to the solemn music Of sweet nature's undertone;. October, Thinking of You.
