Rebecca’s Retreat: October 2014

http://rebeccasretreat.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

The Retreat in Progress. Sunday, October 19, 2014. It's been a while since I took out my camera and snapped a few photos of what has been going on at Rebecca's Retreat. I was inspired this morning while I was sitting on the deck drinking my coffee while cardinals and other flying friends were singing and enjoying the cool weather. What a nice place to sit and read a book by the Peggy Martin rose bush. The garden angel will look over you and make sure you don't sleep too long in that comfortable spot.

The Retreat in Progress. Sunday, March 23, 2014. Spring Cleaning - The Dirty Deck. I finally got up the motivation to start the inevitable spring cleaning around the yard. I don't like the maintenance, it is not fun, but it is necessary. Below are before and after pictures and the deck cleaner I used. Before deck cleaner. You can see where I pressure washed it and it just left streaks in the dirt. After deck cleaner and pressure washing. Made my job much easier. Links to this post. Welcome to my Retreat.

The Retreat in Progress. Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Garden Blogger's Fling 2016. Welcome to my Retreat. Rebecca's Retreat is usually at home in the yard in Buda, Texas approximately 15 miles south of Austin. However, due to the severe drought, the retreat has become anywhere I am relaxed, happy, and not working. Come on in and take a look around. I hope you enjoy looking at my pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them and posting them on my blog.

https://getgrounded.wordpress.com/2014/06/30/my-new-waterfall-and-grotto

Gardening in Austin, Texas. It's not for sissies. My new waterfall and grotto. I had a vision for the new pond/waterfall. I penned a ton of inspirational photos onto Pinterest, and I also had it in my head. Definitely a natural look, softened by not having any rectangular shapes. And I did the job ourselves.
