Reduce to simmer. Carefully crack egg into the water. Gently shake the pan back and forth over the burner to prevent the egg from sticking to the bottom. Continue the gentle shaking throughout the cooking process. Use a spatula or slotted spoon to remove the egg. Serve on toast, if you like. View my complete profile.

Greener Pastures: July 2012

http://bonnielbass.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, July 05, 2012. The day I did at membership drive cookout at the Halfway House, this snake was sitting on the tenth tee. The golfers were waiting for him to move. I called maintenance, and Ed said "Scare him away. Hell I don't do snakes! The snake crawled across the golf cart path, then slowly crawled up a bush and onto this sign. He laid on the sign, the went up in a tree. So it was 100 degrees outside and there we were grilling burgers and knockwurst by the pool. The pool!

Greener Pastures: January 2012

http://bonnielbass.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Some food I've made lately. This was an experiment for Food Science class. I made fettucine noodles from chicken consomme and agar agar. Then tested how they held up in various sauces. To be honest, they had a plasticy feel, but they tasted really good. Here is the agar fettucine with broccoli and butter. Greener Pastures: October 2011

Tuesday, October 04, 2011. Bill and Bonnie Do Asheville. Again :). The window displays never fail to amaze me. This one is in a wooden furniture store. Look at the assortment of fresh made food items at the Asheville food co-op. Yummy! And we do not have produce like this at home. Which is weird, because we have a lot of farmers nearby. What the heck is up with that? We stopped for a snack at Laurie's. Bill got flank steak and cole slaw. Fresh and delicious. I highly recommend Laurie's. Mike this reminde...

Greener Pastures: Visit to Sam

http://bonnielbass.blogspot.com/2013/06/visit-to-sam.html

Monday, June 10, 2013. Sam's friend, an artist, was commissioned to do a painting for some fancy schmancy new place in town. This is the work in progress. The funny thing is, Sam posed for one of these people. Can you find her? There she is. Naturally she did NOT pose in the nude and anyone who knows my baby girl knows she has no booty to speak of. The artist obviously rendered this big booty from his imagination. We planted these cheerful baskets. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Why not enter the Blue Ridge Parkway at the entrance closest to home and drive all the way to the end? So that's what we did. Several of the first overlooks we stopped at had been graffittied. Who does that? Nature beckons and is lovely, then you have this on the ground. Some of the names of these overlooks. Bad Fork. Snicker. I had a very hard time NOT posting some pictures just...

Monday, June 10, 2013. LPGA at the Country Club. Here are some of the ladies practicing their putts. Looking down the fairway. I was doing a barbecue that day so only took pictures of what was nearby. This is a small section of the board. Each name is listed and the scores and location of each is tracked on these boards. Greener Pastures: June 2012

http://bonnielbass.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Thursday, June 21, 2012. Some work pictures and another BBQ. This is the kitchen where I work. On the other side of those colorful plates, on that big wood table, is the garde manger station where I spend a great deal of time. On the left is the hot line, on the right is the servers' station. This is looking down past the hot line and way on back into the break room. The boy is Umberto, a server. This is the hot line, where a la carte meals are prepared. Standing on the tenth tee. We walked over to ColdS...
