I Fell in Love…. With “Me”. June 12, 2016. June 12, 2016. The past week has been total insanity. Four days ago I experienced the worst day I have ever had in recovery which completely flawed me. I did not see this coming, not even from a mile away! I had fallen in love with a fantasy, that would never be. I did not understand any of the feelings coming up, I felt confused and betrayed by my own inner world, that I had no control over. How could my feelings betray me like this? How could I let this happen?

July 3, 2016. The last 4 to 6 weeks have been a ride to hell and back. However I have learnt a great many things from this. Firstly, to honour myself and my feelings, both the light side and the shadow side. To embrace both these aspects of myself to be totally whole, just as the universe intended. This has not been easy. It has come with a number of breakdowns, many tears, and an aching anxious heart, albeit With moments of laughter and joy. So here’s to sobriety! So mote it be! Candy, Chaos and Courage.

New mum in recovery. 8230;this is my life. It’s a holiday weekend! Whilst I’m not working it does mean that LH is off work for 3 days! I enjoy family time. In the weeks its more of a few snatched hours together but when its the weekend we can go for coffee and walks and sit in the garden. Friday and Saturday nights are also amazing as he shares the night feeds and I get a bit more sleep! Not just a small twitch of the lips buy a big full on smile! 🙂 I felt lifted when I was driving back from her house.
