I had been blind casting a small spinner bait most of the morning and finally hooked up with our only keeper fish of the day. The Red was 26 inches long and weighed 5-3/4 lb. Beats me but another boat I was near said they had seen a few mixed in with the Specks but they weren't in our area in numbers. I'm sure they were around but maybe with another school of trout. Any way the fishing is wide open and the fish seem to be working all over the lake. Soft plastic is the most popular bait but top waters and crank baits are working to.
