garish and tweed: October 2005
http://garishandtweed.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Just a little nothing. Monday, October 31, 2005. A question, gentle readers. If you were me, and this were your duvet cover, what color sheets would you buy? I've got white ones, which I like, but I can't handle the "one set" stress anymore. You know, where you decide it's time to wash them, and you throw them in the wash, and then you get home at 9:30 at night and eat dinner and watch some 24 (because you're addicted, yes? You have no back up set. Okay, so I'm not quite that bad, but I live in fear.

a sheep's life: June 2005
http://asheepslife.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
This is a journal of life as viewed by a family of serta sheep (though not in any way connected with the company serta). Monday, June 27, 2005. We arrived safely a few days ago - the cross country road trip was grueling. We're now at the burgeoning metropolis of Glen Rock, PA (this is where Mommy is from). Daddy is happy now since he can drive all the way to the cosmopolitan city of Shrewsbury without any help, just like a native! Hopefully more photos to follow in a few days. Friday, June 24, 2005.

Add Water and Heat: April 2005
http://addwaterandheat.blogspot.com/2005_04_01_archive.html
Add Water and Heat. Blog all about my lousy cooking. Here I'll post recipes I've attempted (some successful, some not so successful), things I love about cooking, things I hate about cooking, things I learned about cooking (from screwing up so many recipes), and an occasional diatribe about llamas. Wednesday, April 27, 2005. AND my Ultimate Goal of sitting at home, doing absolutely nothing, and receiving big fat checks in the mail. haven't accomplished that one yet either. About 2 quarts of ice water.

garish and tweed: May 2005
http://garishandtweed.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
Just a little nothing. Tuesday, May 31, 2005. I'm sort of piecing things back together. Getting back to my usual routines, taking care of business, crying over The Tale of Despereaux and then laughing hysterically at lines like "Despereaux was filled with an icky feeling of despair." Because that's what it is. Icky. When you feel like that. The weather has gone from wiltingly hot to pleasantly cool to rainy since Friday. And why can't the apartment have just one more closet? This is a journal of life as viewed by a family of serta sheep (though not in any way connected with the company serta). Friday, October 28, 2005. Finally, we're here. I've been stuffed in a bag along with Lt. 15 for the entire trip, and I'm a little upset about it. It's no way to treat a General. I'm not sure how many pictures I will be able to post since a few people here go nuts if you photograph the wrong thing. I do miss pink sheep 3. Is she doing ok? Oh well, on with the mission! This is a journal of life as viewed by a family of serta sheep (though not in any way connected with the company serta). Thursday, September 29, 2005. Lieutenant 15 is secretly crying in the corner: today he got his vaccines in preparation for overseas, and his arms hurt! He's just hoping that little General Ocho doesn't see him like this. lest he be thought of as a wimp! Posted by sertasheep @ 10:43 PM. Saturday, September 24, 2005. Ocho has an announcement. We're leaving in about 2-3 weeks. I'm goi...

garish and tweed: July 2005
http://garishandtweed.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
Just a little nothing. Sunday, July 31, 2005. Keep reading, it gets lighter at the end. Being told to get up off his bed and walk, about how the rest of us can take something from this. That by being here with them while they are sick, some of that grace can rub off on us. Or rather, I guess, that we can be more receptive to the grace that's coming at us from every direction. And I tell her that, yes, I know, I was there. I was a few years older than her, and I was there. "Were you two? No way. I'm.

I'm glad we got all that Eragon nonsense out of the way. It's out of my house and out of my life. Instead, we've got the pleasant and entertaining substitute of Gregor the Overlander. By Suzanne Collins. Yay for children's fantasy! It's not "wow" but I am whipping through it, and it has charm. What am I leaving out, here?

garish and tweed: February 2005
http://garishandtweed.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html
Just a little nothing. Monday, February 28, 2005. Yesterday was the first day I've missed blogging since I started. And for a very special reason. Excuse the sentiment in this post, but I hope you understand. Yesterday, I did something I've never done before. A rite of passage, if you will. Something that girls dream of and long for, a step towards womanhood and maturity, a coming of age.I spent a long time weighing the pros and cons - "Is this the right time? Am I sure I want this? I got my ears pierced.
