Well I have had the sand for what, 2-3 weeks, and it is still going great. The tank water has remained very clean, and I have only been replacing evaporated water as needed. Squirts poo just sits on the top, along with other debris to either get sucked up by the filter, or get netted up by me. . If you are thinking about sand, I recommend doing it! Well I came up with this idea for a sand rake, and it works great! 1 cut out the handle and the rake grill. 2 glue on at an angle. 3 so that it'll work like this. Anyway, the filter is made of a piece of stocking stretched over the second seperator grid in my xp1. It's the last stage of filtration and has done wonders for my water clarity. I did a large cleaning of the tank the other day. I cleaned the canister filter, wiped the tubes of the filter, cleaned half of the sand, did a 50% water change, cleaned the plants of algae, and cut out the screen for his UVB light. . It took me a while, but it was a relief when it was finished. . Better container for reptomin. Sunday, July 20, 2008.

Living under a rainbow. Friday, November 27, 2009. On the left "Zuihoushou" - Order of the Sacred Treasure medal. On the right "Kunshou" medal of honor. Star of Pakistan medal. I was at my grandmother's house in Tokyo a few weeks ago and she had these on the table in front of my grandfather's shrine so I took pictures of them. The Star of Pakistan medal is the one I wrote about in an earlier post. Sunday, November 22, 2009. It's a doggie Christmas here. We bought our "Dog Trubble" at Hooked on Dogs.
