At home with Guinever. Links for my boys. Grocery challenge wrap-up for November. December 2, 2009 at 4:54 pm. At the beginning of November, I challenged myself to see if I could keep our grocery budget to $100 a week or $400 for the month for our family of six. I didn’t quite make it, but I am happy with the end result. Some bonuses for the month. My mom brought me 3 pounds each of mozzarella cheese and white cheddar plus a tub of port wine cheese for Todd from the Middlefield Cheese House. A friend gav...

Katelyn's Food: Sauteed Peaches
http://katelynsfood.blogspot.com/2010/10/sauteed-peaches.html
Friday, October 15, 2010. This summer I was able to taste the best peaches I have ever had. They were perfect. Berry and peach picking with family took me to Reed Valley Orchard. Which is now my favorite orchard in the area. Granted, this may be because I don't have children. There are several really great U-pick farms with hay rides, play grounds and petting farms, but I really enjoyed how quiet Reed Valley was. 1/2 tsp brown sugar. 1/4 tsp cinnamon and nutmeg each (for sauce). 1/2 C ricotta cheese.

Virginia was part of The Oakdale Club. 1/2 C white or cider vinegar (just eyeball it). 1 tsp whole mustard seed. 1 clove garlic, smashed. 2 TBSP chopped fresh dill, or 1 tsp dried dill. In oth...
