Saturday, June 11, 2011. The Headphones Come Off. I went for a run yesterday, and I took along my trusty iPod to help pass the time of running for awhile. Toward the end of the run it began to rain, not heavily, just a constant steady drizzle. Right before I went inside when I finished my run I took my headphones off. What did I hear? Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Once again, there has been a long delay, but plenty has happened during the past two months. Winter arrived (and is hopefully on its way out). We had another retreat in McCall, ID. I have a spent a lot of time working evenings. I have gotten to know patrons better. Community life has been good as well. We had a retreat in beautiful McCall, ID in February. I would not have imagined that Idaho would have such amazing scenery, but look at some of the pictures below!

Friday, July 22, 2011. I don't know if you have heard of Homeboy Industries before or not. It is a gang intervention program in LA. Fr. Gregory Boyle S.J. is the executive director of the organization and author of Tattoos on the Heart. I just finished reading it recently, and it is one of the few books that will be on my "reread this often" mental book shelf. It keeps us alive; it connects us with the world. So stop, breathe, don't move. Enjoy the very act of breathing. Some Questions and Ramblings.
