Bendiciones desde Mexico: March 2010
http://blessingsfrommexico.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 29, 2010. Brent and I have a date with a person in the HAGUE immigration office who will fingerprint us. I'm so excited! It should be our last time we have to do this! Wondering if I should bring roses and chocolates to show my thanks! So far we have 5 families lined up. Pretty good since I only advertised 4 days ago! Links to this post. Friday, March 26, 2010. This link was so powerful to me, not just about adoption, but about living life as a believer in general. Links to this post. Prett...

Bendiciones desde Mexico: December 2009
http://blessingsfrommexico.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 23, 2009. We have a date! I talked to the homestudy social worker, finally, and we've set up a date for our interview! I'm so excited to actually have it on the calendar! She'd sent me the dates last week but I never received them because her computer got a virus and ate her emails. Grrrr.). Can you tell I'm chomping at the bit to get through this paperwork stage? Unfortunately, we still don't have any answers from the licensing department about the use of bunk beds. In order to f...

Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Our kids' Orphanage Website. I was searching around on the net tonight and found our kids' orphanage' website! It's called La Quinta Carmelita. I used Google translate to try to figure out what it said. I got most of the jist of it. No pictures of the kids but their names are listed on the Sponsorship page. Here's the site if you're interested! Http:/ www.laquinta.org.mx/index.php? Links to this post. Do you want to contact me? Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). We're ...

Gracias Mexico!: February 2010
http://graciasmexico.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 26, 2010. Just a few days after the previous posting, we were contacted by the DIF of the state with our dossier. They had a proposal of two options for us to consider, a sibling group or a single child. We were so excited! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 03/2010 became parents through domestic adoption! 02/10 further complications become apparent. We decide not to pursue adopting in Mexico. 01/10 DIF proposes possible matches, but we didn't receive enough info or referral to proceed. 02/09 ...

Gracias Mexico!: July 2009
http://graciasmexico.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 30, 2009. Tick Tock, The No News Clock. No news. No news, no news. Sorry, we have no news. It's sweet that people ask, it shows they are excited and interested, which we so appreciate! Waiting for news is not easy, especially when we have no idea how long the wait will be. And for now, no news is simply no news, nothing more, nothing less. Wednesday, July 15, 2009. One of the readers asked a great question. Are we going to be raising our kids in Spanish? We would love to! Children learn ne...

Bendiciones desde Mexico: May 2010
http://blessingsfrommexico.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 29, 2010. For me when I forget. Is here for me, and maybe it will be here for you too, when in the midst of the struggles of life, most particularly the adoption journey, I can be reminded that I cannot continue in the flesh. How, can I ever think for a moment that now I am in control? That I have any say over each step? I am called to be completely and utterly dependent on Him. Yet, who better to make ourselves vulnerable to than One who has already planned the whole thing! I feel like I'm...

Gracias Mexico!: Preferences
http://graciasmexico.blogspot.com/2009/11/preferences.html
Tuesday, November 17, 2009. UPDATE: It appears that Mexico is starting to limit the ages that international dossiers can request to age five and older. Some states are not accepting dossiers for ages under eight, etc. We have been communicating with the DIF. And things are progressing. We don't know when we will get a referral, as it is hard to predict. We've been on the waiting list for over 25 weeks for siblings of any gender. We know after talking with the DIF. The photograph is a basket of. Ive recen...

Gracias Mexico!: January 2010
http://graciasmexico.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 15, 2010. The photo above really has nothing to do with this entry whatsoever. It's just. Bright and colorful, and I need that right now! I love papaya. And I appreciate. How in Mexico you get lime with just about everything. I love limes too. OK, now. To get to topic. Apparently we need to have a home visit by our homestudy. Social worker, and the social worker needs to verify that everything is still the same as the original homestudy. Friday, January 1, 2010. Will 2010 be the year?
