Monday, January 14, 2013. I got cancer last year. But it wasn’t the kind that I could mope around about and feel sorry for myself over. It was the “good cancer”, with happy endings and minimal effort for recovery. I got cancer, and it made me really sad, and I haven’t gotten over that. Surgery has come and gone, treatment has come and gone, but I feel a little empty after the whole experience. I don’t blame cancer, it’s not cancer’s fault I’m sad. But pills scare me. Now I don’t. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Today we mourned the last day of Caleb's preschool. He was so cute with all his friends. Cupcake celebration. Caleb enjoyed his usually syringed snack. Talin and Collin had crazy hair day today. Literally five minutes before they had to walk out the door we busted out the razor and did some designs. We've nicknamed Talin Joe Dirt, we just need to work on growing out that mullet this summer. This is everyday for Tom, jumping, otter pops and squirt guns and sometimes a little DS time.

Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Caleb, Caleb, Caleb. March 17th, St. Patrick's Day, and Caleb's birthday. This birthday is a milestone for him. It's an understatement for what this kid has inside of him. He plows forward, unstoppable, never slowing, despite all the "disabilities". It doesn't matter, he will always be unbeatable. And this is what I've always prayed for, that Caleb would be incredible. Never did I imagine that this fulfilled prayer would bring a lot of exhaustion, heartache, confusion and worry.

Thursday, April 28, 2011. April 22nd, Talin turned 9 years old. We headed to the valley for Easter weekend with family and decided to invite everyone to the park to help us consume his massive chess cake. Are all 9 year olds this silly all the time? Mine is. I still love him, but he makes us all crazy. Talin, Ryder, Wyatt and Noah. We had lots of cousins come and play and eat cake. Wesley, Talin, Ryder and Wyatt. It's crazy to think he's 9! Wyatt, Reagan, Collin and Davyn. It was great food and company.

Sunday, July 24, 2011. I was suppose to go in to be induced Thursday night, but they were booked with ladies going into labor so I kept getting pushed back. Finally falling asleep at 10:30, waiting for my hospital phone call. My phone rings and it's the hospital telling me to come in. We get to the hospital, wait in the waiting room, register, all the fun stuff. My IV is in, my pitocin started and we wait. Dr Durfee comes in and asks if I'd like my water broken. Yes!
