Things I Tell Myself: Unexpected
http://things-i-tell-myself.blogspot.com/2011/02/unexpected.html
Things I Tell Myself. Perhaps I need a separate outlet for that kind of stuff, but for now, it's nice to have a place to keep family and friends updated. So where did I leave off last time? Ah yes, Christmas. Seems so long ago. Maybe it feels that way because it has been in the 70s all week and a cold Wisconsin winter seems a universe away. I'm excited to keep tackling our list of places to go and things to do. The bronze gates on each end of the grounds are inscribed with two respective times. The l...

Things I Tell Myself: What just happened?
http://things-i-tell-myself.blogspot.com/2011/01/what-just-happened.html
Things I Tell Myself. I'm ba-ack. We had a wonderful trip to Wisconsin and Minnesota for the holidays. Since it was our first time back since we moved, we were a little over-ambitious and wanted to be everywhere and see everyone. We drove over 3,300 miles in a week! Was it worth it? We got to spend time with family. Just one of our many wonderful ones). Catch up with amazing friends. And see "the homeland" in all its winter glory. Sunday, January 9, 2011. 0 comments : What just happened? Zak, like sock.

Things I Tell Myself: July 2010
http://things-i-tell-myself.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Things I Tell Myself. Maybe we'll get settled one of these days. And so the week begins in a thankfully uneventful fashion. I'm finally getting my hands dirty with searching for apartments. So far, there's been nothing that's jumped out and screamed, "RENT ME! In other news, we just booked our tickets to Ireland! I'm sure I will have more pictures to post after this weekend, when we are, in fact, attending a BULL-RIDING COMPETITION. Yes, folks, are we in Texas or are we in Texas? Tuesday, July 27, 2010.

Things I Tell Myself. He's so sweet. We sat and chatted for a few minutes, when all of a sudden the guest bedroom door opened and out walked my little sister, LIS! It turns out that Andy and her had been planning this for weeks! We got to work right away and headed out for dinner at the Oasis on Lake Travis. The restaurant sits atop a cliff and has fantastic views of the sunset. Image from riversports.com. It was a great weekend! Thanks so much to Andy and Lis for their awesome surprise! To anyone who's ...

Things I Tell Myself: Odd
http://things-i-tell-myself.blogspot.com/2010/12/odd.html
Things I Tell Myself. It's not Christmas without a big ol' tree, right? We finally got ours this past weekend, but something just didn't feel right about picking it out while wearing sandals and capri pants. Oh well, it still looks nice, especially when complemented by a Chloe. Yep, that's me if you look closely. And our Christmas-box-covered floor.). Tuesday, December 7, 2010. 0 comments : Odd. Bentz Family Blessings: April Activities
http://bentzfamilyblessings.blogspot.com/2011/07/april-activities.html
Monday, July 11, 2011. It's hard to believe that last time I updated our blog was four months ago. But, as any teacher can relate, the last two months of school are often the craziest. Likewise, the beginning of summer can be just as crazy adjusting to a newer, slower routine! But our April was also filled with fun and excitement at home as well! Jake had lots of excitement. He started eating solid foods. And is it a hoot! Another exciting event was going to see Cousin Cassidy at her Junior Prom! I scour...

Things I Tell Myself: September 2010
http://things-i-tell-myself.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Things I Tell Myself. Time to eat again. I think that was the motto of our anniversary. And since I love food, it was great! After church, we headed to Kerby Lane Cafe for some breakfast. I had migas, which are pretty popular down here. Eggs, tortilla pieces, veggies, spices, cheese.uh, YUM. After that, we had to do some deep-breathing exercises to prepare our stomachs for dinner. It was a great first anniversary! Great parking lot shot, eh? Thursday, September 16, 2010. I got dressed,. Like, Andy's mom ...

Things I Tell Myself: WHO DAT?
http://things-i-tell-myself.blogspot.com/2010/11/who-dat.html
Things I Tell Myself. Are you in the midst of preparing for Thanksgiving? Even though it will just be Andy and me for the holiday, there's still much to be done. And I'm procrastinating, of course. I always seem to find the "perfect" reason to put something off until I absolutely have to deal with it. But this past weekend, I really did have a perfect reason. I swear! Will explain more later.) Plus, I love. Oak Alley, a historic plantation. Ruins of a teeny tiny church (not sure of the name). The French ...

Things I Tell Myself: April 2011
http://things-i-tell-myself.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Things I Tell Myself. While all my friends and family in the "Nort" are rejoicing over the arrival of spring, I am sadly watching it ride off into the sunset. We had a brief but wonderful affair with this fine season, and now I feel like running after it screaming, "Noooo! Not that I'm being dramatic or anything. I'll take hot over cold any day. Yep, it's pert' near 90 degrees in our apartment. I am a stickler for waiting to turn on the A/C until the laaaast possible moment.). Do YOU want to visit? I hop...
