The Perfect Appetizer: Roasted Tomatoes on (leftover) Bread with Garlic and Cream Cheese. This is one of the best appetizers I had in a long time and we basically stumbled upon it by trying to empty out our pantry. What we had to begin with was old whole-grain bread and overripe tomatoes and what we ended up with was amazing and so simple. 4 big slices of bread. 3 cloves of garlic. 4 tablespoons of olive oil. Herbs: chive or parsley (or anything you’d like to add). Preparation (20 minutes in total).
