Simmons Stories
http://simmonsstories.blogspot.com/2015/04/at-general-womens-meeting-in-march.html
Sunday, April 26, 2015. At the General Women's meeting in March. Our stake has a big meet and greet activity before the meeting that is always a lot of fun. Going with my girls reminds me of going with my mom when we lived close together. These are a couple of art projects Jillian completed at SparkStudios, the Firehouse's after school program. Good job Jilly! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Mesa Arizona Temple. Where we were married! The Kansas City Temple. Fourth Grade Zoo Field Trip.

Simmons Stories: Nature Walk
http://simmonsstories.blogspot.com/2015/04/nature-walk.html
Sunday, April 26, 2015. We are blessed to live near a nature trail! Jorja, Logan, and I went walking on it a few weeks ago. There are a lot of clam shells near the river. This is a big one! Kinsey LOVES playing in the water. I couldn't get a great picture of her because she was jumping around and exploring so much. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Mesa Arizona Temple. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Family Newsletter December 2013. It always amazes me how quickly the year passes! This last year we decided to chronicle all the good things that happened to us by writing them down and filling our “Good Things” jar. What a wonderful experiment it has been! Here are our favorites! Many were duplicated so we only mentioned them once and they are not listed in any particular order.). I got the girls' room painted. Andy and Elizabeth Hall and their family came to visit us. Figure...

Saturday, November 3, 2012. To watch it yourself.). We are told that we are saved by grace "after all that we can do." So what does that mean? More favorite quotes from Bro. Wilcox:. Jesus doesn't make up the difference. Jesus makes all the difference. Grace is not about filling gaps. It is about filling us. We are not earning heaven, we are learning heaven.we are practicing. Have you been changed by grace? Grace shall be as your day." (Come, Come Ye Saints) Grace shall be like. A day As dark as night ma...

Simmons Stories: The Emperor's New Clothes
http://simmonsstories.blogspot.com/2015/06/jorja-loves-to-participate-in-school.html
Sunday, June 7, 2015. The Emperor's New Clothes. Jorja loves to participate in the school plays every semester. The spring play was "The Emperor's New Clothes" and she had the part of the Minister of Fashion, which had a solo and several speaking parts. She did such a great job! Left: trying on her costume for the first time. Right: the day of the performance! Jorja's best friend, Malea Macon played the princess and had a solo part as well. Tuesday, January 21, 2014. The Day I Flew. We gave our children, and ourselves, a dog for Christmas this last year. It has been one of the best things we have ever done. We are absolutely smitten! Our dog is a border collie mix named Kinsey; we believe the mix part is black lab, although she has more of the border collie traits. One of those traits is a love of running. And I mean Run.Ing! Close to our house is a walking/biking trail that we like to go on. The first few times with me riding the scoot...

Simmons Stories: 1/18/15 - 1/25/15
http://simmonsstories.blogspot.com/2015_01_18_archive.html
Sunday, January 18, 2015. Watkins Mill in November. This was one of those weeks where I was really busy but nothing noteworthy really happened. Well, Jillian did earn first clarinet chair in her band. Oh, and her band teacher offered to give her free clarinet lessons after school. Wahoo! She was pretty excited about both. She loves music and I am glad she enjoys it so much. We found this cool spot but Jorja wasn't interested in staying long. At this point she just wanted to get back. I think Jorja and Lo...

Sunday, January 11, 2015. First week of January This and That. I cut Jorja's hair on Monday. I don't think I did too bad of a job. We loved her long, long hair but she would get these rat's nests up by her neck that were tennis ball in size. After much time and pain, I would straighten the knot out. Jorja got tired of the fight and wanted it shorter. She loved it! Funny note, you can see the clock in the background is exactly two hours later. I'm sure a professional would have done it faster! Simmons Stories: Temple Run 2015
http://simmonsstories.blogspot.com/2015/06/temple-run-2015.html
Monday, June 8, 2015. This was the fifth year for the Temple Run, although it is the first year any of us actually participated. Jorja was in a running program at school called Girls on the Run. At the end of the program, all the girls run in a 5K. However, the 5K this year was on a Sunday so we opted to race in the Temple Run instead. This was so much fun! Official times: Mom - 37:45 Jillian - 32.54 Logan - 31.59 Jorja - 31.17. My goal was to beat 45 minutes and I did! I was super proud of all of us!

Monday, November 12, 2012. Someone Who Believes in You. Yesterday we had our Primary Program in Sacrament Meeting. Of course it was wonderful with all the cute kids singing and just being themselves. Each of my kids had a special part. Logan said something about how prophets help guide us, and Jorja and Jillian each sung a song in a small group. I was proud of them! However, these weren't my favorite parts of the program. I was so touched by what happened between a boy and his mom. The Mesa Arizona Temple.
