Sonny was the devoted husband of Ilona to whom he was married for 47 years. They are the loving parents of 4 children: Deborah Caldeira, Kimilita Abrams, Francis Rodrigues, Jr. and Mario Rodrigues and surrogate parents of Sabrina Bacchus and Alfred Seaforth. Sonny was a well known, respected rum blender and manager of the Rum Factory at Banks DIH in Georgetown, Guyana where he worked for 25 years. In 1989, Sonny and his family migrated to Florida, where he remained for the last 20 years.
