“Fading Memories” – a poem | Remembering Theo

https://rememberingtheo.wordpress.com/2010/01/04/fading-memories-a-poem

Help us remember Theo…. January 4, 2010. 8220;Fading Memories” – a poem. I wrote this poem one night when I was thinking about dad, in mid 1999. I haven’t read it in years but evidently even back then I was starting to feel that my memories of dad weren’t as sharp as they used to be. Here’s the poem:. Like ice melting through a sieve,. Or the image of the sun. Once burnt upon the gaze. That slowly fades from sight. That sun has set beyond my scope. And its image is fading still. But not in knowing you.

Dad’s Letter | Remembering Theo

https://rememberingtheo.wordpress.com/2010/01/04/dads-letter

Help us remember Theo…. January 4, 2010. When I was in Year 10 (1992) we had a Retreat camp at Mt Cole. During one of the activities on the camp we all received letters from our parents. The teachers had arranged for each of our parents to write us a letter (in response to special prompting questions I assume) that we could open, read and reflect on at the camp. Remembering important things is very hard because all you and the rest of the family, mum included, do to me is very important. Just remember wh...

Life being a playlist of songs. Wednesday, April 01, 2009. Seems yet another milestone's fast approaching and that all too familiar nostalgia's beginning to churn again. who'd have thought back in first year that i'd say i loved warwick and the people here. but tis true. the odd juxtaposition of green pastures and concrete buildings, asian scholars and canley chavs. i must admit there's something about this place that finds its way to them heartsrings. October 5, 2012. New Warren Buffett Video – Omaha Press Club 1992. A never before released video has been put out by Jeremy Harris Lipschultz at the Huffington Post. I always put everything I’m doing on hold to read/watch anything new by Buffett. I thought the most interesting part relevant to investing was at the end where Buffett analogizes how he makes investments as simply assigning himself a (relatively easy) story to cover.
