Kelly Guffey Memorial Nursing Career Scholarship. Kelly Diane Guffey was a 1991 graduate of North Gaston High School in Dallas, NC. She continued her education at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and graduated in 1995 with a degree in Biology. After extensive travel and work abroad, Kelly taught school for 3 years. During her tenure as a teacher she was diagnosed with carcinoid cancer, a rare disease with no cure. Remember Kelly, Inc. March 1 of current year. 2006-2016 Remember Kelly, Inc.

10th Annual Kelly Guffey Race to Remember 5k. The 10th and final annual Kelly Guffey Race to Remember 5k has come and gone and while we are sad to end this community event we are equally glad to have accomplished our goal. With the successful support of all our sponsors and private donations, our organization will now be able to award the $1000 Kelly Guffey Memorial Nursing Career Scholarship indefinitely. And now her scholarship will continue to touch the lives of aspiring young nurses.

Remembering Ken
Saturday, October 31, 2009. That's a long time. A lifetime for some. For others, 21 years. I was a senior in college at 21 and excited to take a new Creative Writing course. Not surprisingly, much of my writing had turned darker than I had typically written before Ken's death. And much of it centered on him.
