Without change . we'd have no butterflies. A blurb about homeschool. Homeschooling has been a good experience this year. we're not done yet of course, but we do have great incentive to finish asap . water park! We are equally excited for that. I give Sam multiple "warnings" that school time is starting soon. he needs this constant heads up to mentally prep for it . half the time this seems to work. the other half, I get lots of whining "I don't wanna! Luckily for everyone I'm not a complete idiot - hahah...

Without change . we'd have no butterflies. Just standing in the shower can get therapeutic, no? Especially when its cold out, all I want to do is take a hot-as-I-can-take-it shower. It's a good place to sing, a good place to cry, a good place to pray, a good place to talk to yourself . yea I do that. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Without change . we'd have no butterflies. I recently had a birthday. I'm 33 . easy to type, not so easy to say out loud. I was talking with my mama about aging, and I was explaining to her how I still feel like I'm 25. of course there have been changes; maturity still happens in these years (just in case you're not aware! I still feel 25 too.". She's said this before, but this time it stuck. a light bulb went off. She said "yes, he's our adopted son." I was a tad shocked. I thought maybe it was ...I sat...

Without change . we'd have no butterflies. I haven't been on for awhile. Life is in full swing. So I thought I'd come back alive, using a photo carnival/meme/thingy . whatever they are called. Fingerprint Friday is a reminder that what God has created, is all around us. literally, all around. what stands out to you? At The Rusted Chain to see what others see, and of course, leave comments. we all love comments! That there is NO WAY it was accidental. A baby, about to bloom. so pretty. Click icon for my S...

Without change . we'd have no butterflies. Step 1: realizing you have a problem. There is a reason I have not picked up my camera in ages, but that storm cloud that consistently follows me around has taken away all my light. and then that a-ha hits . why in the world would I want to document this season of my life? The IT, the problem, seems to be this certainty of the unexpected, of the stress, of that depressive cloud that I pretend is not there. I don't have IT all together. Its not like its a waste o...

Without change . we'd have no butterflies. 30 days of being thankful . sounds easy, but to be honest, I struggled and missed a few days. that's sad because it should never be difficult to find things in your life to appreciate. never. Can you think of 30 things right now? Thank you for . 4 my sanity . more or less. 5 roof over my head. 6 food in the fridge. 7 clothes on my back. 11 Sam, the funny one. 12 Eli, the snuggler. 18 baking sweets . then eating them of course. 23 reading bedtime stories. And I w...

Without change . we'd have no butterflies. So my neighbors are against me. I come home to find a noise complaint from the office on my door. I go down there and say "WTF? No, not exactly, I used nicer words than that, but that's what I wanted to say. I was told multiple. Neighbors have complained about the noise coming from my apartment. specifically crying. So I say, "Listen, I will not give in to my child just so he'll be quiet and not have a tantrum. I'm not that kind of parent.". It's a good place to...

Without change . we'd have no butterflies. Since before moving in, my boys have wanted a pet. we've had dogs in the past, and once we had a bird, but long story short, we've been pet-less for some time now. I'm still convinced a dog is just like having another kid, so no thank you on that. plus, I can't have *real* pets in this apartment anyway. I've been wanting to get the boys a hamster. I had one as a kid, and loved it . *cough*. Until it bit me *cough*. So we get home and I fill the vase with water a...

Without change . we'd have no butterflies. He's really part fish. Moving to Hawaii, swimming has taken on a whole new meaning us. if you live on an island and don't know how to swim, I would think you had better learn! When we first got here, Samuel was very timid. he'd go in but never past where he can't touch, unless his arms were wrapped around your neck. he wouldn't put his head underwater. he was fearful of the waves crashing, and wouldn't go past them. The only thing we can think of that links all ...
