Tuesday, 9 December 2014. For the last few weeks of school we are learning about how to be firewise as our inquiry topic. When the children were asked what they think fire is, this is what they said:. It’s flames and it hurts people. It keeps cats warm because they cuddle up next to the fire. It might burn down anything.

Friday, 24 October 2014. No child left inside. We are very lucky to have Jane come and teach us some fundamental skills through a programme called 'No child left inside'. This week Jane taught us how to jump hurdles. First she taught us how far away from the hurdle we should jump from. It was about 2 of our foot lengths away.

Tuesday, 18 November 2014. This week for no child left inside Jane has been teaching us about long jump. We had to practice by jumping over the 'lazy river to start with. We learnt how to take off on one foot. And land on two feet like we are riding a motorcycle. We got to try out our new skills in the long jump pit.
