Finding Boxes: Our First Hide
http://findingboxes.blogspot.com/2009/08/our-first-hide.html
14:07 - Posted by Anne Stone Sweet - 0 comments. Today we hid our very first cache. The location had already been decided and we'd had a look around to find a suitable hiding place. We put together our little Cache. We filled it with goodies such as a pirate badge, a pirate eraser, a pirate pencil, a trakabull geocoin and the obligatory logbook. We used a small lockable plastic food container which we hope will be waterproof. The logbook is waterproof anyway. This is our cache in it's hiding place. Step ...

Finding Boxes: November 2009
http://findingboxes.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
14:25 - Posted by Anne Stone Sweet - 1 comments. We decided we'd waited long enough and despite the rainy weather we set out to find another cache. I'd picked one close to the roadside, rain I can deal with but not so much wallowing in mud. This one looked out over the motorway which kept the geokids. Interested for all of 5 minutes. I told Graham where I believed the cache to be and he went off alone to search. I don't think it took him 5 minutes to find it! That gives us a total of 17 finds now. I'll s...

Finding Boxes: Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud!
http://findingboxes.blogspot.com/2009/12/mud-mud-glorious-mud.html
Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud! 14:50 - Posted by Anne Stone Sweet - 1 comments. I guess it has to be expected this time of year, if you venture anywhere. Off road it's going to be a mud bath. So where did we decide to go? Yes, the middle of a huge field! It was such a lovely day yesterday, bright, sunny (freezing) and I just couldn't resist getting out in the fresh air. Not only that I had a scarecrow TB. So maybe we'll stick to the occasional easy find, perhaps drive bys. Or cache and dashes. Hello, we are the...

Football, Pavillion and Park. 13:15 - Posted by Anne Stone Sweet - 0 comments. Sometimes it's more than the caches to be found. This one was full of goodies so we did a couple of swaps before re hiding and taking the kids to the playground. The Russian Coin find. 05:04 - Posted by Anne Stone Sweet - 0 comments. It was a nice sunny day so we couldn't resist the chance to go for a nice walk, not a day for cache and dashes! Our chosen venue, the local Country Park. We also bought a new dog tag trackable and...

14:43 - Posted by Anne Stone Sweet - 2 comments. The sudden turn in the weather, yes, it's warming up at last, has made me really itchy to get out there now. Sadly I can't walk far but I will be researching some easier caches to go for. There's always some that don't require too much effort. We use multi-million pound sattelites to find tupperware in the woods, what's your hobby? Finneus Fishbottom Retires (Again). View my complete profile.

OhmerFam's Geocaching Blog: May 2010
http://ohmerfam.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 30, 2010. Caching in New Orleans. Special thanks to Bamboozle for a great cache, View Carre'. The kids were AMAZED. Dennis was a gracious and VERY knowledgeable host. We then made our way to City Park and made a few finds there. Our 10 year-old son, Sagan, got stung by a big, UGLY caterpillar. I, however, was able to get rid of the giant arachnid on my shoulder. The kids got to sit and contemplate in the sculpture garden. Finds for the day are:. Welcome to city paRk. The lions sleep tonight.

Thursday, May 6, 2010. Custom Swag - Geocaching "Compass". My post from May 4th. Shows me picking up some compass party favors from a local dollar store. These "compasses" are non-functioning, but 6 geocaching-related party favors for $1 certainly piqued my interest. i bought all five bags and took them home, my head already spinning on how to utilize them. Now, these compasses would be welcome in any ammo box right out of the package. But, HEY! I created ( special thanks to Renzo. Caching in New Orleans.

Ramblings of A Lost Mind: May 2010
http://questforcosmictruth.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Ramblings of A Lost Mind. Thursday, May 20, 2010. Not in God's terms, but in ours. I didn't feel like I needed to pose at myself the question the minister posed to the congregation, which was "who are you? Is that what a person has to be to be worth loving? I wondered, what is it that people think about themselves that make them think they are worth loving? What are those qualities we see in others that makes us want to emotionally invest in them? Then I gathered up my children and kissed them. I tho...

Ramblings of A Lost Mind: May 2011

Ramblings of A Lost Mind. Monday, May 30, 2011. They are just things," he has said to me, "I don't know why you get so upset about them." I know that, on the surface, but its the deeper meaning of the objects he doesn't seem to get, or wants me not to look at, when he uses that argument with me. I remember my man talking about his connection to these objects, but I was not expecting his reaction to them, especially to the one his uncle had let him use during his youth. I had never seen him react to s...
