The Researching Librarian: Greece 2013. Addendum: Library of Congress Subject Headings for Blog. Having either been a cataloger or having worked with catalogers for most of my academic career, I know the value of subject headings. The Researching Librarian: Greece 2013. Kimba, the White Lion? It was one of the first Japanese cartoons to make it to the U.S. The way this Ephesus cat is standing reminds me of Kimba sans the colored fur, of course. And so it ends. Display, the Museum of Folk Art, Athens. Processed food, Greek-style. Pre-made spanakopita that I bought when I first arrived in Greece. What did I learn from my experience in Greece? The Tripartite Shrine, Palace of Phaistos, Crete. However, I do understand the euphoria som...

The Researching Librarian: Greece 2013. Newer posts →. As I hobbled home from the metro, I came across this bizarre tree. It is growing out of a hole made for it between the houses, and it comes right out and BLOCKS the sidewalk. In this case, I’d have killed the tree. The roots are probably damaging the foundation. Besides, there’s another tree already growing in front of the house. The Acropolis South Slope. The Theater of Dionysus. See the green area above the seats? The Odeon from the Acropolis.

I have my regular red bag inside it. The black bag has “overflow” and is not completely filled. I plan on taking out my red bag and putting that under the seat and stowing the black bag (half full) in the overhead. I’m nervous, like I always am before I fly or go anywhere. The waiting is what gets me. Back Home →. You are c...

The Researching Librarian: Greece 2013. Pine cones, which I photographed on the last night I was in Athens. Apparently they aren’t only for Christmas or winter decorations–at least in Greece. I arrived home on Sunday. Monday I spent quite a bit of the day sleeping, and today I am in T-Town, having walked from The Hollow. The flight back was horrible, but what flights aren’t? This entry was posted in Athens. And tagged Μεταμόρφωση Ελλάδα. All Packed and Ready. 2 comments on “ Back Home. I READ the blog!
