Ivermectin – Resident Pre-Vet
https://residentprevet.wordpress.com/2015/12/22/ivermectin
A blog for aspiring veterinarians. December 22, 2015. February 17, 2016. Ivermectin is a drug I have seen used across all veterinary practices. You may be familiar with one of its forms, Heartgard, for dogs and cats. After seeing Ivermectin so many times, I became curious of how it worked. It is quite an interesting process, and it was difficult not to make this post extremely long! I feel that even the P- glycoprotein (P-gp), blood-brain barrier, and the parasites themselves deserve their own posts!
