Things you should know before applying to Respite House. Rent is a minimum of $135.00 per week and is due on Saturday, by 10:00 am Two weeks rent is due at intake. You will be required to review and accept the rules and regulations of the house. Substance abuse of any kind will not be tolerated while you are a resident of Respite House. This Project was not possible without the assistance and support of the community. Funding something of this magnitude was always the largest hurdle to overcome. When the Porter County Commissioners and the Porter County Council reviewed our presentation and provided the necessary funding to purchase and reconfigure the property, the concept of Respite House became a reality. The new fiscal year started on July 1st. Most respite authorizations have been completed by TCRC. Remember, unused hours from previous months can accumulate, but hours cannot be borrowed from future months. Remaining pre-June 30th hours can not be carried over into this fiscal year.
