http://stewarts-vg.blogspot.com/2015/07/twinkle-yellow-fantacy.html
Saturday, July 18, 2015. Twinkle 'Yellow Fantacy.'. Nce I'd melted the ice from the windscreen we, my daughter and I, had a nice, uneventful, run down the hill into Brissy. Still fairly cool when we arrived at the Mt. Coot-tha Botanic gardens. We made our way to the John Oxley District Orchid Society Inc. Orchid show only to find that we didn't have any cash and they didn't have any electronic means of taking our money. So back to the car to find an ATM and then back to the show. Cheers for now,. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Stand back trendsetters. I've got some serious digging to do. #. Busy morning digging a new potato patch in the neighbours yard. Hard Virgin soil, 16 bags of stable horse manure and an hour later and I'm all done. Even had to break out the mattock at one stage,. Leave it sit for a week and I'll add a couple of wheelbarrow loads of compost with some blood and bone and turn it again. Leave it sit for another week and I'll be planting spuds. My Veggie Garden: The Coming Season
http://stewarts-vg.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-coming-season.html
Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Getting ready for the coming growing season can mean only one thing here at My Veggie Garden. This year I'm taking a different path to the one I usually take. After reading David Glenn's, from Lambley Nursery. Spiel on growing F1 hybrid tomatoes for improved yield and increased disease resistance I've purchased two packets of tomato seeds to trial here in My Veggie Garden. The two Tomato varieties I'll be trying are,. Tomato, Gourmet, 'Gabriella' F1. Cherry Tomato, 'Tycho' F1.

My Veggie Garden: August 2015
http://stewarts-vg.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 29, 2015. Growing carrots from seeds (the only way). Growing carrots from seeds is the only way to grow carrots. You're wasting your time planting carrots from punnets of seedlings, as they will always be twisted and stunted. Unless that's how you like your carrots. Planting carrot seeds is also dead easy. You just need some organically vibrant soil (soil enriched with compost or from a previous crop), make a shallow row (5mm) and place your seeds in the row and cover them back over.

My Veggie Garden: November 2014
http://stewarts-vg.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. It's always freaking "Sunny". At last I have some reasonable gardening weather (RGW). And after four or so weeks of ridiculously hot and dry (it's still dry) weather I've got about three weeks of neglect to catch up with. Weeds to be weeded, compost bins to be emptied, turned and filled back up again and planting a few seedlings I have left that I have survived. So I'd better get cracking. Cheers and have a nice day,.
