Retired traveler indulging in choices and travel – inexpensively. February 7, 2015. My Latest, Scariest Journey. Hello again, dear faithful reader, Thank you for hanging in with me. It’s been a long time (nearly 5 months) since I’ve last communicated. However, I have a (sorta) excuse for part of my absence: I just completed the. Scariest journey of my life. As usual, I wasn’t scared beforehand, but there were plentiful episodes of sheer panic in the during. Also, five days ago I snow-shoed 4 1/2 miles!

Retired traveler indulging in choices and travel – inexpensively. February 7, 2014. 6 Feb, 2014. Day 3 in this country, and so far every experience has made me love this country more. The reclining bed comes with blanket thank goodness, for that provides my lumbar support so I can sit up. I LOVE this. Here I am with my moto tour guide. She was so cool. During ou...

Nepal – Totally amazing even without the trekking | Retirednomad's Blog

https://retirednomad.wordpress.com/2014/03/13/nepal-totally-amazing-even-without-the-trekking

Retired traveler indulging in choices and travel – inexpensively. March 13, 2014. Nepal – Totally amazing even without the trekking. If you’ve seen my Facebook postings, you know I’ve become totally sick of travel. Have now been on the road nearly 6 months, and so ready to go home. However, I’m locked into my Frequent Flier Miles return ticket, and that has me being in Nepal for 30 days. What could I do for 30 days? The Awesome Allreds

Sunday, November 7, 2010. A glimpse at the traffic here- they make 3-4 lanes out of one and wonder why traffic is stalled? Watch your step- all sidewalks and roads are in much need of repair. You really have to "Watch your Step" here. This is in the big city of Dagupan but it is everywhere here, even in Baguio, a resort town. You must be careful! Thursday, November 4, 2010. We're moving out, hop on if you want a ride! Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Wash Day in the Philippines. Friday, October 29, 2010.

Saturday, May 10, 2014. Yes, this really is a pieced quilt. I've spent 3 days at the Home Machine Quilting Show (HMQS). I took a class on Wednesday night on machine binding and on Friday morning on free motion machine quilting. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday I visited the booths and looked at all the quilts. I took pictures of quilts that I think I have the ability to make. And pictures of quilts that I will never be able to make. The quilting in the white blocks makes this one amazing. Bake on lightly...
