Monday, October 8, 2012. Sky Top Apple Orchard. We had a wonderful afternoon in the warm sunshine picking apples, eating apple doughnuts (oh my- words cannot describe the goodness), enjoying our picnic lunch, and watching the kids run all over the beautiful landscape. Harper, Davis and Emery. We hit the peak of Golden Delicious and Granny Smith picking time. So far I've made eight jars of apple butter. I also see a pie in my future. The apples are delicious. Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Emery's First Day of School.Taking K3 by Storm! Emery's first day of school went off without a hitch! Given her extreme anxiety at the K3 meet-n-greet last week, I was DREADING the first day of school. However, she was perfectly fine! Thursday, June 28, 2012. We celebrated Emery's third birthday with a Minnie Mouse themed pool party at Thornblade Country Club. Such an easy party! The club did most of the work (the food was delicious) and all of the cleanup. If I hadn't gone so nuts with the party favors (monogrammed towels), things would have been a breeze. I asked our sweet next door neighbor and she found me an available friend ASAP. Thank you, Joy! My stacks of finished towels. Each kid also got a Minnie cookie. I know I do! Still ...

Thursday, May 31, 2012. The pool is open, thank heavens! Emery spent every waking moment at the pool its opening weekend. Bodie and I joined her all day Sunday since the weather was a little cooler and breezy- perfect for Little Man. I'm thankful that Bodie seems to enjoy the pool lifestyle as much as his sister. Monday, November 12, 2012. Emery's dreams came true last week! We went to Disney World with some dear friends and met EVERY Disney princess. Emery couldn't believe her eyes. In addition to all the fun rides she got to eat in the castle, have breakfast prepared by Mickey and friends, see Nemo and Dory up close and personal, and stay in a gorgeous hotel with lots of heated pools. In other words, her idea of heaven. What a whirlwind of a trip. We'll do it again in a few years when Bodie is older. Emery the ...

Thursday, February 23, 2012. Settling in at home. Time is flying by. I can't believe Bodie is already eight days old. We've had a busy six days at home- mostly good! At least Bodie continues to be the world's easiest baby: eat, poop, sleep. He is a total joy.and SO cute! Dr Emery tending to her baby brother. Sunday, July 15, 2012. Grand Haven for the Fourth. Despite the heat, we had a great time.. Bodie loved his first trip to a beach- and looked adorable, I might add. She rarely drives it and I don't think Emery really remembers much from last summer's trip to MI, so the car was a huge novelty for her. Of course Ben and I argued over who got to drive it.
