Ramblings of a mom and wife that just moved from a little city to a teeny town, and is currently in the process of battling ovarian cancer. Friday, October 24, 2014. When I Was 14. And I often wonder if our generation was the last one to truly enjoy a "leave it to beaver" childhood. I have the hardest time comprehending how a kid from Marysville could do something like this. I still think of that area like Mayberry or Walton's Mountain - how can someone there feel like this is their only choice? Somewher...

Ew Totally making the hubs clean that up. When I checked my head after my shower, I realized I now had bald spots, and gave up on the idea of waiting another day or so before having the hubs buzz it off. Now I have returned to my little old man (only now with receding hairline! I'm just glad my scalp doesn't hurt all the time! Saturday mo...

Ramblings of a mom and wife that just moved from a little city to a teeny town, and is currently in the process of battling ovarian cancer. Saturday, February 08, 2014. Everyone - meet Buster. Buster joined the Digby family a couple of weeks ago, at the start of the coldest weather we've had in the boonies. He seems to be thriving, and this morning he and his mama were pretty close to the house (comparatively speaking anyway) and I was able to grab a couple of pictures. As all babies are. And okra - we s...

Today, I start chemo again. My insurance finally approved the cancer regimen I had for frontline chemo, and right now I am kicked back receiving pre- meds prior to starting carbo/taxol. Next up will be the carboplatin, which is what we're hoping I'm not resistant to. That will only take 30 minutes or so. I'm ge...So fa...

So Here we are in Houston. We have visited with the clinical trial folks, and they don't think I'm strong enough to be on a trial. Ramblings of a mom and wife that just moved from a little city to a teeny town, and is currently in the process of battling ovarian cancer. Monday, August 18, 2014. As everyone knows, one of the things I love to do is garden. This year, the only way we've been able to have as large of a garden as we have is due to my push to adopt no-till gardening several years ago, and my husband's willingness to adopt the "mulch it all!
