Altarwise by Owl-Light: Sometimes it's good to be alive
http://altarwisebyowllight.blogspot.com/2009/10/sometimes-its-good-to-be-alive.html
Where's that title from? Altarwise by owl-light in the half-way house. The gentleman lay graveward with his furies;. Abaddon in the hangnail cracked from Adam,. And, from his fork, a dog among the fairies,. The atlas-eater with a jaw for news,. Bit out the mandrake with to-morrow's scream. Then, penny-eyed, that gentleman of wounds,. Old cock from nowheres and the heaven's egg,. With bones unbuttoned to the half-way winds,. Hatched from the windy salvage on one leg,. Scraped at my cradle in a walking word.

silenciadoelviento: The Tattooed Poets Project: Andrea England
http://silenciadoelviento.blogspot.com/2012/04/tattooed-poets-project-andrea-england.html
Wednesday, April 4, 2012. The Tattooed Poets Project: Andrea England. Our next tattooed poet is Andrea England, who submitted this photo of her tattoo:. In 2001, I was able to take a trip to Ireland, the place of my mother’s ancestry, a place that she regretted never having visited. When I returned from Ireland I decided to tattoo her maiden initials on my arm in the original Celtic font used in The Book of Kells. CFM stands for Catherine Fallon McGinnis. Here is one of Andrea's poems:. The trill of it o...

The Angry Grammarian: Update: 101/1001
http://brettejenkins.blogspot.com/2015/01/update-1011001.html
Sunday, January 18, 2015. I took another look today at the list I made back in June (I wish were June right now) of the 101 things I wanted to complete in the next 1001 days. I have just 773 days left to complete everything on this list. Let's see what's up. 1 Finish list of 101 things. 2 Read a book together. Things That Are – Amy Leach) This one is a bit of a cheat, because we both taught the book for our Fall 2014 classes, but I'm counting it anyway. 3 Spend nothing for two weeks. 7 See the orchestra.

The Frank: The Hits Keep Coming
http://frankspot.blogspot.com/2008/04/hits-keep-coming.html
Shouting into the wind occasionally. Thursday, April 3, 2008. The Hits Keep Coming. I would have thought this was an April Fool's joke.(still holding out hope actually):. The first ad was silly, but at least it was.not sure how to put it. At least the first time the issue was recognizeable in that we all imagine that the President could be woken in the middle of the night with a phone call regarding a national security issue. The Frank: February 2008
http://frankspot.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Shouting into the wind occasionally. Monday, February 25, 2008. Ralph Nader Can Go Fuck Himself. Just saw on CNN that he's running again. What a collosal prick this guy is. Seriously. Of course, the reality is, he's not as bad as the jackasses who vote for him. Even if he didn't run and the tools who would vote for him stayed home, at least the good guys wouldn't have to waste resources fending off his attacks. Tuesday, February 5, 2008. Barack Obama for President. I can't wait to have a woman President&...

The Frank: April 2008
http://frankspot.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Shouting into the wind occasionally. Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Media and So On. All three major cable news networks are wasting valuable air time on Senator Obama's former pastor. Why? Is the story newsworthy? Sure Is wall-to-wall Wright coverage more important than Iraq or gas prices or the climate crisis? No way. But Reverend Wright is a scary, shouting black man and scary shouting black men equal ratings-sweet-ratings. It comes from this post at HuffingtonPost.com. Nothing to add, so I'll move along.
