This was mostly a transcription of a piece for koto by Kimio Eto that I played when I introed for Robbie Basho at a concert circa 1972 in Berkeley. Eto had composed the piece when very young as a tribute to his teacher. And so, in the context, it was also meant as a tribute by me to Robbie for his mentorship. The tape recording itself was unearthed by Kyle Fosbugh, part of a body of old concert tapes of Robbie Basho that he had acquired from Glenn Jones. Artwork by Claude Smith. Released October 24, 2016.
