All Things Taylor: December 2012
http://allthingstaylor-scott.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 11 December 2012. How Adrian Holloway will end his talk on Sunday, so you are ready! I’ve just spoken to Adrian Holloway, our preacher for the Carol Concerts. He told me stories of three of the carol concerts he has been at. He saw 88 responses at Birmingham Uni, 83 at Norwich Uni, and 86 at a church in Bristol. He is in Reading on Sunday and I am excited to see what God will do as we celebrate the birth of Jesus with our family and friends. These are exciting days for RFC in so many ways, but l...

All Things Taylor: November 2013

Thursday, 28 November 2013. Attitudes of a Leader # 4. Week four of this 5 week series taken from a talk given at the RFC Leadership Summit.). 4: Eager to listen. As a guy with a reasonably strong leadership gift and the experience I have this is something that I am constantly working on. Actually you just want help to process an issue or just want to be listened to. To know when to speak and when to be silent. To feedback reflectively when someone is speaking to me. ξἐνος: The curse of the Hebrew tattoo strikes again
http://xenos-theology.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-curse-of-hebrew-tattoo-strikes-again.html
Cast your bread upon the waters. Monday, April 20, 2015. The curse of the Hebrew tattoo strikes again. Victoria Beckham has shown the way. But not all have been able to follow in her footsteps without stumbling. The latest casualty of this trend is the soccer player Mario Mandzukic. Who seems to want to keep both Nietzsche and God on side (an impossible task? But ends up insulting both with poor grammar and the sort of mirror writing that most of us managed to stop doing about the age of 5. Been doodling...

ξἐνος: Capitalising your Divine Pronouns (or not)
http://xenos-theology.blogspot.com/2015/08/capitalising-your-divine-pronouns-or-not.html
Cast your bread upon the waters. Monday, August 3, 2015. Capitalising your Divine Pronouns (or not). So just had to explain this to someone and came a across a nice little blog post. On the subject from a new to me blog from a chap with a very impressive beard. 1 There is no grammatical convention that capitalising a pronoun shows respect it is therefore meaningless to the uninitiated. 3 If someone is going to judge you for not doing it they are wrong and creating a false religion, don't pander to them.

Mining for Jems: July 2012
http://miningforjems.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Opening my window on the world. Friday, 27 July 2012. It's a tradition in our family for me and Andy to make the children the biggest, chocolatiest (is that a word? Most outrageous cakes for their birthdays. We figure, hey, you have one birthday a year, you're only a child for a short time, so what the heck - when it comes to birthday cakes - it has to be a whopper. Friday, July 27, 2012. Monday, 23 July 2012. Still, Andy's home with the kids this week so I'm hoping they make the most of the sun. Our hou...

ξἐνος: I don't have a tattoo but if I did it would be this one
http://xenos-theology.blogspot.com/2015/04/i-dont-have-tattoo-but-if-i-did-it.html
Cast your bread upon the waters. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. I don't have a tattoo but if I did it would be this one. Seriously, this has to be the cleverest, most poetic and original tattoo to get done . . . Not only is it in Hebrew but it it is actually from the Bible, if you find it hard to read in Hebrew you could look it up in an English Bible from Leviticus 19:28. If you do get it done be sure to send me a photo. Posted by Jonathan Robinson. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 8216;What Do You Need?

Cast your bread upon the waters. Monday, March 23, 2015. Hart on Naturalism, Existence and God. So, life is kind of hectic and reading has not been high enough on the priorities recently, but this afternoon I picked up The Experience of God. By David Bentley Hart (Yale 2013) again. The book is starting to get going, although I'm sure he could say the same thing more clearly with 1/3 of the words, but maybe that is a style thing? Let me know what you think, :-). Posted by Jonathan Robinson. I’m so d...

Craig Mackay's Blog: May 2014

Thursday, 15 May 2014. Making sense of it all. Time marches on. Amazingly, we’ve now been in our house for 6 months and it does definitely feel like home. We feel very grateful! Horace the nutter puppy has settled in well….aside from his irritating desire to dig up our newly laid turf, that is! What does amaze me is how well the children seem to be doing. To the outside world we are a “normal” (and large! Family…and I guess we are just that! In the meantime we will get on with the garden. CMackay 2011...
