Armany Leger was born in Acadia Parish April 13, 1910. He was descended from a long line of Legers that can be traced back to France in the 1600s. Armany was the fifth Leger generation to be born in Louisiana. He worked as a tenant farmer, and auxiliary policeman. Nida Broussard was born on March 23, 1904 in Youngsville, La. She was descended from a long line of Broussards that can also be traced back to France. She was the fifth generation born in Louisiana.
