Violet & Gray: Easy Peasy
http://violetandgray.blogspot.com/2013/12/easy-peasy.html
Sunday, December 29, 2013. This little boy, who came into our lives so unexpectedly, is patient, quiet, funny, and so very easy. He bumbles around looking for things to do, ways to entertain himself. He keeps himself happy and is amused by what is happening around him. He eats like a horse. He could eat a horse. He eats more than his brother and sister combined, and sometimes the leftovers from their plates too. He doesn't like the word "no," and. Crumbles into a million pieces when we have to be stern.

Violet & Gray: December 2014
http://violetandgray.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 19, 2014. I miss being here. The year has slipped by in a blur of hours, days, and months, and here we are, 10 months since my last post. This collection of family moments and platform to share them has always been a creative outlet. My work has eaten up the better part of my days, and time with my kids is fleeting and precious. Sam got me a new camera for my 38th birthday this year - a kind nudge to keep taking pics and capture the fleeting moments. Links to this post. Bonnie Being a Kim.

My terrene reality: narcissistic ramblings of my night life
http://terrenereality.blogspot.com/2006/01/narcissistic-ramblings-of-my-night.html
And we should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once. And we should call every truth false which was not accompanied by at least one laugh. -Friedrich Nietzsche. Monday, January 23, 2006. Narcissistic ramblings of my night life. Since I was awake, I plodded on down here to the office to pull up the Air Tran web site to check on John's flight and make sure it was actually going to take off. Lo and behold, its departure time had moved way up, closer to the originally schedule...

My terrene reality: The Pause
http://terrenereality.blogspot.com/2011/10/pause.html
And we should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once. And we should call every truth false which was not accompanied by at least one laugh. -Friedrich Nietzsche. Sunday, October 09, 2011. This post may make it WAY into the realm of TMI for more than a few. But it is what is is. It's what is going on in my life and it is what I want to write about. So any skittish or cowardly readers who don't want to think about or discuss THE PAUSE may exit now. Excuse me a moment, but. Well t...

Well, 2013 is in full force, and we are slowly returning to old routines as VCU classes begin again next week. I am looking forward to this semester, and hoping that it is kinder than the last. A new baby and now family of five, plus Sam's heavy teaching load made last semester as challenging as we thought it would be. How shall I put this?

A ballerina in black and white. When the city dance program Ada is part of opened its doors for parents, allowing us to come in and watch our children practice in the studio for one night only, Sam agreed to stay home with the boys so I could attend. I was in for so much more than I anticipated though. Ada and he...

Violet & Gray: February 2013
http://violetandgray.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 14, 2013. Links to this post. Monday, February 11, 2013. Links to this post. Friday, February 8, 2013. Get the Ajax out, people! I mentioned a couple posts ago some changes in the making this year. It is February, and while we all like to talk about resolutions for a good 1-2 weeks, the "New Year" spirit is really lost after the MLK holiday as we get back to our ordinary day-to-day lives. What the hell is wrong with us? Feeling angry, and grumpy, and all around disillusioned with peopl...
