It is a Hindu Shrine which was dedicated to Shiva. IT ALWAYS AMAZES ME WHEN I SEE VERY OLD SHRINES. ABOUT A 20 MINUTE WALK UP! SOME FRIENDS WHO WERE HAPPY TO WAIT DOWNSTAIRS. ABOUT HALFWAY UP. Thailand is a Buddhist country and in fact, is one of the reasons I moved here when I retired. The Buddhas in this post are ones that I have obtained over the years.the small ones. The weather in Thailand is normally very mild except for the rainy season and once in awhile we have a wind storm but nothing even close to the catastrophic event in Japan.
