Tomorrow is the first day of a new school year. We will have ourselves a child at the high school, a child at the junior high school, 2 children at the elementary school, and 1 in Kindergarten at the elementary school. I am wondering if I'll be able to keep it all straight! 4 different start times, 4 different end times, etc. etc. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Shelly and The Kids. Here's A Piece of My Mind. Yesterday marked 9 years since Scott's brain surgery. My Mom pointed out the other day that there have been more years since the brain surgery than before the brain surgery in our marriage. I immediately argued that, but then realized she was right. How could that be? My husband is a patient man. My husband thinks of his family before himself. My husband sacrifices and works hard and faces disappointments, but continues to move forward. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Shelly and The Kids.

He was accepted as an intern in a place that is easy for him to get to, with a quiet office of his own, with a boss who endured a traumatic injury due to a skeleton accident (you know the Olympic sledding). I am so proud and grateful. Yay, I love reading blogs but have gotten really out of the habit myself. Even though Im not really funny and maybe not always all that interesting I love to keep it for myself and the few that may read it so Im thinking to start up again soon too. Hooray for Scott! I love ...

Saturday morning while washing I noticed the machine was leaking large amounts of water out the front door. Oh dear. I put a bucket underneath it and mopped up the floor and went on. When the load was done I took a look inside the machine. I figured the rubber seal wasn't sealing right. I guess I had a burst of self assurance and went online to look up how to take out that seal. This could end poorly. When the UPS man pulled up on Thursday I squealed with joy (just ask Ginger I was on the phone with her).

Thursday, January 22, 2015. Disneyland Secrets Part II: Tips for Toddlers. After a couple years I've decided to make another Disneyland Secrets post. ( Read my previous one here. You may notice a few repeat tips, but these are specific to bringing little ones. The 8 S's: Tips for Toddlers at Disneyland. Wear well-fitting walking shoes. This goes for your little one too, even if they're not walking. Okay, I guess for toddlers, it's really more important that they wear well-fitting. Need I say more? If you...

Is it ever strange and exciting to you that there is so much around you that you've never seen? It is to me. For President's Day I wanted an adventure. I wanted to drive south to land we've never seen. I wanted to see the people who lived there and the towns that surrounded mine. To say the older kids were less than thrilled is a large understatement. Scott and I loaded them up giggling at their complete frustration with this whole idea. I wonder how long Utah lake is? I wonder what they farm out here?

I turned 35 this year. I still feel like I'm in my twenties, and have a hard time convincing myself I'm in the "next stage" of life. My kids are growing up. The littlest continues to make a long list of "lasts". Last one to use training wheels, last one to learn to brush her own teeth, last one to stay home with me when all the kids go back to school in the Fall. I usually tell me kids the same thing when they ask for my birthday wishes, "everyone to have a happy day with no fighting". What a fantastic d...
