Saturday, December 15, 2012. Emeree's 3rd Birthday Party. Emeree has been into Hello Kitty for a while, so I decided that would be a good theme for her birthday party. Thanks to Pinterest, I was able to compile several great ideas from those around the blogosphere. She had a great time and I actually had fun making all the decorations (except the tissue paper flowers - those took too long to make). Becky made Emeree a Hello Kitty hat - my favorite hat ever! Fun to see all the party decorations again!

Monday, March 18, 2013. Last month during breakfast Emeree said, "Mom, I'm going to tell you a story." So I said, "Okay." Then she told me the cutest story, so I kept repeating it in my head until I found a piece of paper and a pen to write it all down. Here it is.word for word. Once upon a time there was a king keeping a dragon. The princess got stuck on a rope. The end". And then since he heard Emeree tell me a story, Ethan decided it was his turn. Here is his cute story. Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Decorating the Christmas tree this year was fun. The kids got into it and weren't trying to destroy the ornaments or the triee this time. They even sat for a picture together that is adorable. We had our Ward Christmas Party and the kids got their picture taken with Santa! I love this picture of Emeree so focused on coloring. Monday, October 22, 2012. Ethan had his first field trip today for pre-school. I tagged along as a working parent, but most parents tend to stay for the whole field trip anyway since it's only about an hour long as opposed to school that is 2 hours each day. Siblings couldn't come, but that was kinda nice to have some Mommy and Ethan time anyway. And I enjoyed it a bit more without chasing Emeree around. :). Tuesday, November 13, 2012. This year, the costumes were a combined effort of Me, Michael, and my Mom. Ethan's didn't involve any sewing whatsoever, but all that spray painting was frustrating. He turned out awesome. So, without further adieu. One Green Plastic Army Man. And One Pretty Peacock. Emeree kept strutting around sticking out her chest and clasping her hands together. Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Ethan's First Day of Preschool. Ethan started preschool last month (yay me for blogging about now instead of in 6-8 months.) He goes three days a week and he is loving it. We worked really hard the month leading up to school to get him to write his name on his own (without me writing it first and him copying it below mine). So now he can write it without any assistance. I asked him to show me his backpack - and he just tilted to the side a little. :). He loves his school!

Thursday, March 14, 2013. It's hard to believe it, but I have a 5 year-old.who starts kindergarten in the fall! We had Ethan's birthday party the Saturday before his birthday, but I wanted to do a few fun things for him on his actual birthday. I made him a "5" cake - which is the 4th cake I have made in a week and a half - I am cake'd out! Laughing at the thought of Ethan having that reaction to the balloon wall! Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Ethan's 5th Birthday Party. This was a fun and frustrating party to prepare for. A fun theme, but several things were tricky to make or didn't turn out. Ethan has been into Legos for about a year, but super into them since Christmas. He will sit for over an hour, sometimes a few hours and put together, take apart, and put together again the kits he has.
