Personal reflections on faith and the Church. There is No Fear in Love. April 30, 2012. The motion required a 2/3 majority to advance the Constitutional change to the Annual Conferences for ratification. It received only 55% support. After the vote, I was in the Prayer Room and a phrase of scripture came to mind. I found it at 1 John 4:18:. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. April 30, 2012.

Mental exhaustion is probably the best way to describe my condition when the chaos finally came to an end. I am still processing the experience and my thoughts about some of the specific actions and events that took place. A motion was made to reconsider the action; that is, to revisit that piece of legislation. After discussion, the motion to reconsider was rejected by a 60-40 margin.
